Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- Mikael FHelsinki, Finland30,539 contributionsEspoo Museum of Modern Art (EMMA) is competing with Kiasma Art Museum in Helsinki. Espoo Museum is located in a grey dull building which is the former Weilin&Göös printing house from 1974. What it takes to buildings, Kiasma is located in a more striking building with more interesting architecture.
What it takes to exhibitions, it is hard to say which one is better. On this Espoo visit, there was a stunning exhibition "Chiharu Shiota: Tracing Boundaries". It is an immersive installation consisting of tautly crisscrossing threads. Visitors are entering the maze of yarn, which encloses a sequence of old doors that open alternative routes through the work.
Another impressive work was "Daniel Buren: Going for a Walk in a Zigzag". Buren created this enormous work consisting of countless folding screens, inviting visitors to take a walk through the zigzagging maze.
Daniel Buren is famous for his practice of using 8.7 cm-wide vertical stripes as a visual tool to reveal hidden aspects of familiar spaces. In May, you can find 105 striped flags filling Espoo’s Tapionaukio square. Museum’s personnel have also striped vests.Written 24 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. There are always many exhibitions at the same time. - Ems F1 contributionGood mall! Good to shop in and easy access public transportation. The mall has easy access to trains, busses and taxis. There are better malls in Finland, but still a great place.Written 20 September 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - AnttiFinland3 contributionsPrison break -room was a very nice experience! Great puzzles ranging from simple to challenging, and multiple stages of play. We went as a couple (some experience in escape rooms) with our teenage daughter (no experience) and the difficulty was exactly as advertised. It was challenging but doable. With did solve it, but with couple hints. With some more experience, we would have likely made it without hints. Very well designed escape room!Written 22 May 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Mikael FHelsinki, Finland30,539 contributionsThis specialty museum of play, toys, and childhood can be found in Tapiola. The last time we visited in 2018, the museum was located in the WeeGee Exhibition Center next door. Now it has got its own building.
This time there was so much action going on in this museum that we didn't take our shoes off but proceeded to EMMA which was our main goal. However, we made a short visit to the small Finnish Bell and Jewelry Museum Kruunu next door in the same building.Written 24 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The presidential car used by Mauno Kovisto for instance. Some russian-made luxury vehicles. Cars you recognice from old movies and so on.
If you use GPS to find this museum, you will be in for another nice surprise. The road around lake Bodom is beautiful. Take your time and enjoy.

I do agree with a few points made out by some and believe some of these concerns should be addressed! However, I do also believe that if you go with an open mind and wanting fun, you'll find it. That's exactly what we found yesterday when we attended.
We did skip the long queues due to buying the tickets in advance. Just an easy smart little tip for all to do whom read this.
We got there and found the locker rooms with ease and got ready for what looked to be a promising day.
We had so much fun on the slides. We liked the 120 metre one indoors, the 80 metre one indoors and the 2 person ring ones outside the most.
I noticed someone had mentioned that it was hard to slide down them. I noticed this with some people also but my wife who was sat down went really fast and myself whom was laid down also went really fast. Maybe we got lucky! However it was the majority that I'd seen on the slides going fast. Luck of the draw? Who knows!
OK, so the queues aint so great and more staff at the top by the slides would be good as there seemed to be a few people always trying to push in. I'll say this honestly, it was the same people over and over. They were clearly from outside of Europe like Asia and North Africa. Apart from that, no worries.
Outside slides (the tiger slides) felt really weird to stand on as the platform is Hugh and very shaky. Would be good to fix that or add more support.
So yeah, overall very good with the slides.
The restaurant, very expensive for what it is. It was chaotic and to make things worse, got my simple order wrong! I will say this, the girl dealing with the matter was nice, dealt with it fast and sorted it. So, it wasn't all bad.
I'll definitely be back one day with the kids. I know they would love it there.Written 5 July 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. My son was also very interested in them. The museum is located in the museum center WeeGee with three other museums. It is easy to go there from Helsinki, too. Take a metro train to Tapiola and follow a marked route.Written 28 June 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - OnAir461996329751 contributionAmazing concept and service! Wau, Paul did such a play that it was hard to imagine that it was not reality but " a play". Kiitos! - Mikael FHelsinki, Finland30,539 contributionsWe wanted to see the new metro line from Matinkylä to Kivenlahti and stopped here for lunch. Metro is the most convenient and easiest way to arrive here.
It was our first time here and we were a little bit lost. We wanted to find the Rosso restaurant but the info screens didn't show it. After a search, we finally found the restaurant.
This place is full of shops and restaurants. You can find also grocery stores, the Finnkino cinema, and the Dudesons Activity Park.Written 1 March 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
