    Newly renovated historic Market Hall
    This neo-Gothic Market Hall was opened in 1901 in the Oulu Market Square.

    The interior is beautiful with wooden shop stalls along the two aisles.

    At the moment, there are construction works going next to the Market Hall. The new Oulu Market Square Hotel will be built.

    Interesting exhibitions
    This small photography gallery is part of the Cultural Centre Valve located in the city center.

    The exhibitions are changing often. This time there was an exhibition called 'Whose nature?'. It showcased nature photography in an interesting way.

    The entrance is always free.

    Nice size mall for Finland
    A lot of stores to visit and a decent offering of restaurants. There is a lot of parking space and it is easy to get to film v highway E4.

    Review of: Atelier Gallery Kaikkonen
    Idyllic atelier and gallery in the countryside near the city of Oulu.
    Highly recommended for all friends of figurative and realist art. The gallery and atelier of the skilled artist Sampo Kaikkonen is only a short trip from Oulu. The hosts are very friendly and welcoming. The location is beautiful, worth the visit!

    Nice place to buy souvenirs
    I was here for a week and could find souvenirs to bring back home. The people are very nice and you can seat to enjoy a coffee inside.

    Entertaining exhibition
    Oulu Comics Center is located in the Cultural Centre Valve. There is a Comic Gallery! which has changing cartoon exhibitions. The entrance is free.

    Review of: Valkea Shopping Center
    A very centrally located mall
    Valkea is a unique complex of more than 50 shops in the heart of Oulu, consisting of two blocks and a covered street that is a new event and meeting place for Oulu residents.

    You can find cozy cafes and many restaurants. Below the street level is Sokos Herkku, a big food store.

    You can shop also cosmetics, jewelry, fashion, home decor, books, small electronics, and special wellness products, among other things.
