- Tour646280720851 contributionI recently participated in a reindeer yoga session during the summer, and it was a fantastic experience. The warm welcome we received set the tone for the day. The group was small, and Piritta made sure to give each participant individual attention. She is incredibly knowledgeable about reindeer and took the time to answer all our questions, making the experience even more enriching.
Piritta's ability to be present and attentive to her guests is truly remarkable. The setting was perfect, with beautiful views from the pasture. The gentle breeze rustling the leaves added to the peaceful ambiance, and nature felt very close and alive.
After the yoga session, I visited the reindeer center, where they offer a lovely selection of locally produced items and foodstuffs. It was a delightful addition to an already excellent experience. We were all put in to appropriate lessons for our age and skill and received 5 days of lessons (5x 1.75h sessions). Our instructor Teemu was brilliant. He was friendly, kind and funny and made sure he gave everyone the individual help they needed /catered to each persons speed of learning.
My 11 year old daughter had Henna (she thinks that’s how you spell it lol) and she did amazingly! With just the week of lessons she went from total beginner to sling from the very top!
All the Crystal ski staff were fantastic and went above and beyond for us from rearranging more appropriate pick up points for trips to arranging us to be dropped of the transfer coach first, looking after our cases and running us straight to the supermarket as they were closing in 20 minutes and knew were were self catering and then arranging a taxi for the remainder of our transfer.Written 3 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. In minutes a large old bear appeared. During our 3 hours viewing, we saw 6 different bears, some very close to the hide. The hide is perfectly equipped with mounts for camera, there are beds to stay the night and a toilet.

Went on my own during a weeks snowboarding and can't remember feeling so relaxed and happy for a long, long time!
The horses come first and I loved this about the place. Trek was amazing like some fantasy fairy tale. At end of trek cooked sausages on fire.
Really can't recommend enough!!!

We have enjoyed amazing moments organized by Tailored Adventure Rukapalvelu Team (special thanks to Eja for organizing it and all people who took care of our group during snowmobiling, karting, dogs and reindeers activity, snowshoeing, river floating,...).
An agency and team to recommend in Ruka.

The owners are all wildlife photographers and it shows ! They know how to help your get your best photos while respecting the bears.

It was possibile to rent rubber boots and rain gear together with helmet and life vest. They were needed because of the chilly weather.

Beautiful scenery, we saw 12 bears, one had cubs. Got amazing photos & videos.
