- Izabela RDublin, Ireland95 contributionsAfter a long research we booked a Premium Combo safari for all day with Arctic Lifestyle. The communication with the company when making a booking was excellent.
Then once we arrived to Rovaniemi it turned out that is way below 20degrees and we were with 2 small kids age 8 and 4 and we got worried a bit. Totally unnecessary.
We hit a jackpot with our tour guide Lenny, who we had just for ourselves and he spent with us a whole day and made it really very enjoyable for our kids and us.
The tour started by bringing us to the company's base where we got changed into the winter clothes and our boys just got helmets, as they were already properly dressed for this cold.
None of us drove snowmobiles ever before and Lenny made sure to explain to us not only how to drive but how to make it enjoyable for us. We both had our own snowmobiles to drive which was what we booked and we absolutely loved it. Lenny's tips as to how the machines behave on the snow helped us a lot and after a short while we really had a blast and enjoyed the long ride through the frozen river in a lovely wintery landscape. The kids drove together with our tour guide and they loved it!
Then we arrived to the place nearby the reindeer farm where we had a short ride on a sleigh pulled by one reindeer. They had a lovely fireplace to warm up and after the ride we could go and feed the reindeers. We also got an interesting lecture inside the little house about the reindeers farm and had cookies and hot tea/juice.
We couldn’t wait to jump back onto the snowmobiles again and we took our time for lovely photos and turns back to the base. In spite of the coldness we really had a great time. Lenny made sure our kids are safe and happy.
After that we drove to the Santa’s Village for a lovely and scrumptious lunch buffet which was included in the price of the safari.
And then last but not least the icing on the cake for me personally – the husky ride. We drove outside Rovaniemi to Huskypoint a lovely kennel where you could see that there are absolutely passionate about what they do. I drove one sleigh – their guide explains how to do it – one thing to remember not to let go of the sleigh! The huskies love running and are very happy to do it and they hate when you put on breaks.
All in all this is a great safari well worth its steep price and all great activities which we wanted to do in Lapland combined in one day.
Lenny our tour guide was truly exceptional. He was extremely kind and patient with our kids and we felt they were well taken care of. He really made our day. We always felt safe. Lennert also has a great personality and myself and my husband loved his companion.

- Sam23 contributionsWe booked the Northern Lights by Minivan tour from Levi.
Unfortunately it was a cloudy few days on our holiday so we didn't see them on this tour, but we still wanted to do the tour as we knew we'd still see beautiful sights whether there were northern lights or not. And we were right!
Our guide was called Emmi. She was polite, friendly and so helpful! She was happy to take photos, help us up when we fell in the snow and answered our questions on the local area.
Due to the cloud cover we unexpectedly ended up doing a bit of snowshoeing which was quite physical but a lot of fun! It felt like we were in such a special place in the wilderness and we got some amazing photos.
Emmi then took us down the path to the viewpoints by the Panorama Hotel.
She let us take our time and take the tour at our own pace so it was very relaxed.
After that we went to a hut to light a fire for sausages and hot berry juice which was brilliant!
We loved this tour and thank you again to Emmi for being our guide.
Communication pre-tour was great, all my emails were responded to quickly which was reassuring.

We have 2 children, a 8 yr old guy and a 6 yr old girl. By the end of our trip to Lapland, we asked them what they most liked about the trip. I was thinking they’d say the visit to Santa’s village or meeting Santa Claus. NO! It was the husky ride! 😃 This is such a serious, responsible and ethical company. They care for the dogs with such love and extend the same care to customers. We were treated super kindly, staff helped us to warm up with the overalls and boots they lent us; gave lots of explanation about how to use the sledge safely. And after the ride everyone is treated to a lovely warm tea with biscuits before getting their bus back to Santa’s village. Don’t think twice, book with them! - Louise F1 contributionWe did the Small-Group Aurora Snowshoeing in Forests and had an amazing time. GG was a fantastic guide, it was wonderful to walk through the forest at night in snow shoes, we felt like we had the forest to ourselves. We were lucky enough to see the Northern Lights and GG guided us to a fantastic spot to see them. - Emma M1 contributionWe stayed at the Vaattunki Wilderness resort in the Panorama Huts which was lovely and warm. The staff were all soo kind and helpful. They helped us to book a taxi and kept us up to date on the status of the Northern lights. The food was made fresh every day and it was delicious. Every day you could choose between a meat, fish or vegetarian option with a selection of salads and soup. All the activities were arranged via Safartica. All the staff were also soo kind and helpful. There was a daily shuttle bus from the resort to Santa Claus village and the town centre. We did the snowmobile safari to the reindeer farm, which was fantastic. We also got to feed the reindeers. Everyone was also so knowledgeable. The husky safari was also a must do and you got to cuddle with the dogs afterwards. The northern lights search by snowshoes is a work-out and harder than we thought, but also a must do. On the last day we had the Lappish Kota diner and we never had better salmon than that. The food was traditionally cooked in a Kota and a must do for your last day in Rovaniemi, but do remember that there is no central heating so put your suit from Safartica on. It was also nice that you did not need to hand in the suit for every activity but we got to keep our suit for the week and could hand them in at the resort at the end of our trip. Some of the boats used were wooden long boats. The journey there and back was scenic and exciting, including one boat requiring fuel mid journey. The crew/staff members were friendly and accommodating, adding to the pleasure of the visit. Compared to Iceland, most of the trips we took in Finland were overpriced, rushed and underwhelming. Our guide Victor, seemed genuinely interested in the tour providing info about the animals and calling us over if he spotted the animals hiding. Run away from crowded "safaris" / "trips" / "Excursions" and book all of them in this company where you have a more personalized trip with a great guide ( Igor), adding much more value to your trip. The trips we booked with his company were amazing and his company increased, even more, the experience. Thanks to him and Feelapland to make this trip unbelievable, being so concerned about the environment, and animals, and having human values. I will strongly recommend booking your tours here!
