He took pictures of us in all the best spots of the park and was always on the lookout of what we need it. As a bonus, during all our hike we had snow showers and that made the experience even more magical. I did this tour last year and it was the first thing I booked when I returned to Rovanemi. Tour operated texted me about cancellation because not enough people but They still add in more people and make my tour successful. It starts 8pm so not rushing. Also gave Winter Jackets and Boots. Cottage is still cold. Campfire with sausages and drinks. Manage to capture aurora with phone camera eventhough just tinge of green light in the north. - stb19Paris, France1 contributionWe spent two hours with Santi, our guide, walking in the snow west of Rovaniemi. We climb enough to have a view on the horizon, and that was an amazing one. Snow, animals' print, different type of tree, Santi was able to explain everything. In winter, walking in the snow in Finland is easy for everybody, but it's not the same to discover the Wilderness with a very good guide in a good company. We will all kept memories of this walk all our life.

We had an amazing day out in the forest, hiking in the snow, sliding down icy slopes (sitting down lol), we cooked lunch on the fire, enjoyed all the info and stories Oren shared about life in the wilderness, and admired all the incredible sceneries around us. He also took great photos and sent them via email about a week later. The return drive, overalls, crampons, packed lunch + hot beverages and photos are included in the price. It was a beautiful evening but sadly no Northern lights to be found, however we still had a fantastic evening. Jordi took us too an amazing spot up a hill where we could look over the town, we made a fire and sat eating Cinnamon buns and roasting marshmallows.
The snow shoe hike was really enjoyable and it was great walking through really deep snow. Jordi went above and beyond and when we couldn't find any lights up the hill he took us to the frozen lake to try our luck. Sadly the weather gods did not play ball but we really appreciated the extra effort. The park was beautiful, it was lovely to be surrounded by such beauty, freshly fallen snow, trees, wildlife, views, it had it all. Snowshoeing was new to us, and we had an option to rejoin the path anytime we wanted to. I found walking on the path made it easier to take in our surroundings. After a bit of a climb we reached a viewing point, with the most amazing views. We were lucky to be there on a lovely sunny days so we could see for miles in all directions. Sofian was very knowledgeable and informative. When we got back to the entrance area he cooked sausages for us on a kota grill, beautifully set beside the river. This gave us a chance to relax and chat with the other guests, and ask questions which Sofian answered with ease.
