From the start, their excellent communication and punctuality stood out—they picked us up directly from our hotel, saving us the hassle of navigating the city and finding parking.
The weather on our chosen day was less than ideal, with heavy cloud cover threatening to ruin our chances of seeing the auroras. But Chevo, Drake and Emin went above and beyond, driving all the way into Sweden to find clear skies—and they succeeded not just once, but twice! Their determination and dedication were truly remarkable, driving through the night just to ensure we had the best possible experience.
While they don’t offer BBQs or snacks, they provided a comforting cup of hot chocolate and a KitKat to keep us warm during the adventure. This small gesture perfectly complemented their warm and thoughtful service.
We couldn’t have asked for a better aurora-hunting experience, and we’ll definitely be returning Rovaniemi to use their services when we visit again. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews. - suttond2016County Dublin, Ireland2 contributionsOk, didn’t start off well the tour operator forgot to pick myself and family up from our hotel, quick phone call and they were there within 15 minutes. We were brought to their offices in central Rovaniemi where they kitted us all out in snow mobile clothes, suit , balaclava, helmet, socks and boots, then half an hour coach ride out into the country side, we shared a snow mobile and our son was in one of the sleighs behind the tour leads snow mobile, he loved it! It was a great experience, tour guide Rob was very good and great with the kids. After about 45 mins we stopped for some refreshments then back to base! The tour thru the country side/forest was really fun. There was a convoy of 12 snow mobiles in total. Would recommend the activity and the operator.
Just to note anyone wanting a more adrenaline filled experience ie going really fast this particular tour is probably not for you. Beginner/intermediate snowmobiling this tour will suit including families with young kids. - Colene22 contributionsAbsolutely fantastic from start to finish. A really fun couple of hours. The pick up in the centre of Rovaniemi is easy to find and pick up was on time. Getting kitted out was hassle free, toilets on site and a drink and a cookie available if wanted. My husband and 17 year old daughter rode together and I rode as passenger with Marcos, our guide as i didnt want to drive. This activity was such good value for money....we were out for an hour and 40 minutes and for us it was the perfect length of time. We stopped for photos and to swap drivers and rode over a lake. On the return we picked up speed which was so much fun. We were in a small group of 5 snowmobiles and all adults. Marcos gave clear instructions at the start and was a great guide....even checking that I, as his passenger, was ok when we picked up speed and it was bumpy. I would highly recommend this for anyone who wants their first try at snowmobiling......a really great couple of hours. The huskies tour was not long but as we did a full tour the day before we were OK with it. Snowmobile perfect not long enough as it was super.

All 3 main Lapland experiences in one excursion. We would absolutely do this again and would recommend to anybody else.
Our pick-up location was the Rovaniemi City Office at 10:15 ... we left promptly with other groups on our tour by minivan to the Arctic Circle Snowmobile Park centre in Santa Village. We then got into our winter overalls which keep you very warm and dry. Boots, balaclavas & mittens are also available. The changing room is very small for the number of guests changing at any one time. You do have to squeeze past one another and find a spare corner of space to change. We were advised that we'd be doing Reindeers & Huskies first and snowmobile later. As we were two adults, we requested the Single Rider Supplement option for the snowmobiles and were reassured "Yes, sure, no problem. No need to pay now, we can arrange later.".
Off we were whisked a further 10 mins away to the Reindeer & Husky farm. The scenery is spectacular. Everything you imagine of Lapland. The lap of the 500m reindeer loop takes around 4/5 minutes and is done is groups of c. 12 people (6 pairs). Other groups on other excursions will also be here at the same time so do be prepared to wait a short while. We needed around 6/7 reindeer loops to get through everyone in the group. This wasn't too much problem as we were admiring the scenery but do be prepared to wait. After reindeers its a short walk through the forest to the Huskies. There are a few pens with puppies you can see and stroke whilst you wait for your turn on the husky sled. This is done in just single pairs but takes only about 30 seconds to complete the full 800m loop. Very, very quick. We had already knew to expect this to be quick but hadn't quite anticipated how quick it would feel. After huskies we went into a hut for a talk with a local Sami reindeer herder and had some cookies and warm juice. All very nice and a pleasant experience.
We were then taken back to the Santa Village location for snowmobiling. We were very quickly given our helmets and told to assemble out back ready to walk to the snowmobiles. When we arrived the vehicles are waiting for you. I asked about the "Single Rider" option I had been reassured on earlier and the guides said they had not been informed and it was no longer possible as the vehicles need to be warmed up before being taken out. No flexibility at this point and we had to settle for dual-rider. This was the only disappointment of the day but it did not detract from the experience. In total the journey to and from the stopping/driver change location is about 1 hour total. The scenery, especially near to the stop site is absolutely spectacular. You feel in complete wilderness. Nothing touristy or commercialised about it.
After snowmobiling we were given a full 2 hours to explore Santa Village before our ride back to Rovaniemi which left on time. (We were waiting on another 2 late guests but one of the guides kindly found us a space in another vehicle).
All in all - excellent trip that I'd absolutely do again. Very friendly and informative guides and efficient transfers. The only room for improvement would be to implement a more robust system to acknowledge guests who want to do single-rider on the snowmobiles, better staggered groups so less people are trying to change at any one time and a double-loop on the Husky sleds.

- Shalianna DCamuy, Puerto Rico40 contributionsThis was a very nice experience. We didn’t get to see the northern lights, but the time we spend hunting was so much fun driving the snowmobiles! It was very cold but the overalls provided kept us as warm as possible. We had some tea and cookies as well. It was amazing getting to see so much of the beautiful land and snow covered trees and really fun. We went on a two seater as a couple and had a great time - they give you opportunity to switch drivers half way through if you want to so you both get to experience it. They provided delicious snacks and a hot drink after. I recommend taking really thick insulated gloves as my hands were frozen! Jesus collected from our accommodation and then we got extra suit from the office. - C G5 contributionsSkip the slightly cheaper group tours and go for this private tour. Our guide Aleksei went above and beyond making sure we saw the lights. He had several apps and ways of figuring out where the lights were. We were out for over 6 hours.
