Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Fantastic experience! We signed up for a traditional Finnish sauna experience. The hot sauna was clean and well maintained, and jumping into the frozen lake is a MUST! Felt so refreshed afterwards, and dinner afterwards by the fireplace was simple but so tasty! Our guides Tanya and Pedro shared with us many interesting facts about Finland and they were extremely nice, accommodating and made sure we had a good time;)) Highly recommend!

Said that pretty much everything is a rip off, the Santa Park is a very touristy but good attraction if you have young children and want to spend few hours indoor.
DO NOT BUY THE VEP PACKAGE - That’s a proper scam. They tell you that many things are included but in reality, all you get for €360 per family is a photograph and a usb pen + 2 pieces of paper that are certificate. The elf diploma was given to everyone attending the class and doesn’t even have a name on it, it’a a flyer. The Artic Circle one has a name but we had it in finnish because the one in english was finished.
You get some crappy drinm for free but they are awful so we didn’t drink any if them.

The gingerebread class was for eeveryine as well as the elf school and you don’t even get to skip the line to see Santa who is amazing, and the studio is so realistic it makes you really feel the magic.
And I think it’s the best Santa you get to see in Rovaniemi.
Overall it’s a good experience but a standard ticket is just fine.

Santa Village is super touristy, but it’s a must do if you come all the way to Rovaniemi.
Reasonable line to see Santa, €35 for a printed picture which is pretty fair and €180 for video and digital photos which is crazy.

Waited and waited in the extremely cold weather. Yes we were provided with suitable clothing but the organisation was very poor and our turn was over an hour later than scheduled so we were rushed out quicker than the other people before us. Even the cookies baked with the elves were burnt.

Great crash course to Rovaniemi with lots of factoids and points of interest. Our guide (Alex) was very knowledgeable, accommodating and great with our 5 year old.

Picked up from hotel on time we moved to the Korouoma Canyon. Very comfortable minivan. Hike and nature was nice. Fireplace picnic was delicious and tasty. Thank You Normund for guidance and knowledge of Lapland’s details.

Overall the tour was great, this was one of the few tours who went out that night, as a few other tours cancelled due to cloudy weather.

We got very lucky to see the Aurora, as the next 2 days was snowing and I had only 3 nights stay there, and came all the way from Australia just to see this. If not for that night, I would not had opportunity to see the Aurora, especially April begin end of season.

The guide Mohammed was punctual, he picked us up and drove to a traditional Lappish cottage about 30 minutes from Santa Claus Village. He spotted Northern Lights on the way and stopped to view , and then took us to the cottage for better views and photos.

Tour guide took great pictures of ours in their professional camera and later emailed the photos for no extra charge

The cottage was cosy and traditional, we got served hot drinks (coffee, hot chocolate) and then Mohammed put bon fire outside and barbequed traditional sausages. They also had vegetarian option

Helios was less pricier than other similar tours, but this was more than others, as others charged extra to send photos

I will definitely recommend taking this tour .

We drove from Ivalo to Rovaniemi for 3.5 hours to visit Santa Village, Rovaniemi church and ARTIKUM museum for the day in early october which was taxing driving 6-7 hours for return journey which we wanted be back to Ivalo to see the Aurora that night. Recommend to stay a night in Rovaniemi so that is not too rush.

You can spend almost a day in Santa Village. Many activities were close and only re-open from mid November in winter. However, there is still the Husky farm and reindeer farm to visit though there is no sledge ride. Husky farm entrance was Euro 10 which is not worth the visit. The dogs were all caged up and they do not allow you to touch the dog in the open to take photographs. Do not miss the reindeer farm which the entrance was only euro 5 and you are given something to feed the reindeers. You can hold, touch and have as many close up shots as you like.

There are many souvenir shops around to browse and also may choose which Santa claus you like to visit for photograph in the shop which you have to pay for the photo. Cross the artic circle line at the information centre area and meet santa claus. Highly recommend to visit during winter months where all activities are in full swing.
