Mikko brought us to a dark spot in the middle of a lake where he had everything prepared: multiple telescopes for our group, but also a fireplace to warm up.
Mikko is very knowledgeable about the night sky, and we got to see for example the moons of Jupiter, some nebula’s, the andromeda galaxy and tons of detail of the moon!

I was greetet by cute dogs and our very friendly guide. The group was introduced in the use of the sled and then the beautiful Adventure began. We drove throu snowy woods and mountains. Driver and Passanger change the seat, so everyone can drive and make photos. In the middle of the toor, we did a Break on a Little house with lunch and fire and our guide answered all our questions to the dogs. We ended up booking a second tour with him because of the experience we had! Absolutely hilarious, lives up to his reputation as the "mad Finnish" haha. But truly a passionate and enthusiastic tour guide that wanted to give us the best possible experience. Our first night the clouds were problematic and Jaane drove many kms away to ensure we could see them. I think with a tour like this all you could really ask for is someone who loves their job and wants you to experience the wonder of the Northern Lights and that is what Jaane does. Nature is nature and we were certainly lucky with our experience but that did come down to the knowledge and intuition of Jaane. Thank you Jaane! If we are ever back in Lapland we will be sure to join another tour. - Song H1 contributionWe’ve booked snowmobile, husky sleigh rides, and aurora hunting with Ivalo Trek. All experiences are simply amazing! Kari and Kaisu were so very kind and helpful! During the snowmobile trip, Kari took us to different terrains, we’ve enjoyed beautiful views! The husky sleigh rides were also so much fun! As for the northern lights hunt, they really know when and where to go! - Laurent M1 contributionWe (family of 4 with kids aged 8 and 4) just got back from our 9 day trip to the Inari region where we had probably one of the best vacation i can recall. We came there to look for quiet, nature and cool weather, we had it all and far beyond our expectations. The XWander Guides are in love with their land and they make sure you fall in love too. We had a blast and we will definitely come back.

We went for a hike with the children and some dogs and it was just perfect!

Food was excellent with a variety of Finnish meals and good value. Unless you have a car I recommend eating in. Small kitchen for diy food, tea coffee etc. Lookout for the bear! The Huskys were the stars. You must do a trip. 4 hours was great fun. 2 to a sledge and 6 huskys. The guide was very knowledgeable and had a fab lunch. All in all a great stay to see the real Finland and saw Northern lights on the last night. The dogs are amazing, and Lilli was very friendly and told us a lot about the huskies and the farm.
