Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- Ji-Soo Kim6 contributionsThis was one of the highlights of our trip in Lapland! Petri took us to the forest with his snowmobile where we found hundreds of reindeers waiting hor us! We got to feed them, observe them, and hear everything about them from Petri who responded all our questions with accuracy and enthusiasm. We also got to rest around a fire pit with hot coffee/tea and cinnamon buns. It was also great to learn more about the Sami language and culture and to visit the small shop (where we bought a fantastic reindeer hide). We highly recommend it!Written 28 February 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- E G3 contributionsAmazing experience learning about the Sami culture while visiting a traditional family in their home. As reindeer herders, the Sami families raise and take care of their herds and that of fellow Sami herders as well. Their resilience and knowledge of what nature provides for them and ability to use it sustainably is truly inspiring. They make thread for sewing from reindeer tendons, fish scales to make purses, fish vertebrae as beads for crafts just to name a few. Highly recommend!Written 21 February 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- endapaTallinn, Estonia13 contributionsHad an excellent Aurora camp by snowmobile. The guide was professional and helpful, knowing a lot about local nature and culture. The reindeer burger with rye bread was tasty and we had the luck to see also Northern lights. Reccomend strongly!Written 6 March 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Ewa K5 contributionsI heard about this tour from other guests at the hotel and was told that I have more chance to see the northern lights with him, because he is a local person who drives around the area and beyond to make sure you'll find the lights.
Of course all depend on the weather, but if there is a chance of Northern lights somewhere 50 km away from your hotel he will take you there.
You can tell that this job is his passion and he is very knowledgable on the subject.
We did a numer of stops if different places to find the best view.
He takes pictures with his profesional camera and will email them to you. (Phones don't do that well)
I highly recommend! He's the best man for the job.Written 4 December 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
