Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Absolutely amazing. Bring lots of time it is so much worth it. Take the weather into account as there is an outdoor section. However even if you do not want to go outdoors it is more than worth it.

Lots of Touchscreeens in six different languages giving you heaps of information. I loved the beautiful photos of the eight seasons. Or the possibility to listen to various songs or the sound of native birds.

If you struggle with standing any length af time there are folding chairs at the beginning you can borrow.

The only criticism is the information screens about the development of the forest. It runs continuously through all six languages, i.e. if you only know one of them you wait a very long time.
It would be nice if this could be interrupted and the language be chosen.

It is worth while to come to Inari just because of this museum!

If you are several days in Inari you might want to consider the annual ticket which is only double the normal entry price. There is so much to discover you might want to go back.

Cool lake for observing northern lights
Very dark at night, makes an ideal base for a stargazing. Has flat beaches where you can drive on to avoid lume

Fantastic short visit packed with lots of interesting information about all reindeer related. Very quick response to email enquiry.
We got nice background info about the history of the place, the reindeer position in Sami/Finnish culture, lots of info about the antlers and we got answers to our endless questions ❤️ about reindeer anatomy/physiology and even the speed at which they can run :)

Very informative and didn’t feel touristy at all.
    Thank you!

This remote chapel is a wonder. It is as though time stopped in 1895, and still in use we were told, but only for certain holidays and occasions.

There is some excellent craftwork in here along with materials to make your own pieces.
Unlike some Duodji I have seen that mostly focus on jewellery or knives, in addition to these there is also a lot of clothing in here, baby shoes, caps, belts, ties etc. There are also some smaller, more accessible pieces, simpler, smaller jewellery pieces and key rings for example.
The staff were informative and helpful and pointed out that the receipt also includes the name of the maker for the items purchased. A great connection to the piece. Highly recommended.

Visited this church on the way to see some reindeer. A rustic wooden building fashioned and decorated in the orthodox style. The internal design is simple, while retaining adherence to its religious foundation. In particular a simple wooden altar with an array of paintings of saints in the icon style as the altar piece/backdrop.
Above more paintings of angels in a circle surrounding an image of God.

This church is well worthy of a visit en route to another attraction.

Visiting Angeli’s farm is one of the things you should do when you stay in or around Inari. It was one of the best experiences of our holiday. Listening to Anne’s stories about the life of a Sami family while walking in the beautiful forest is very special and makes you feel humble. It’s almost magical to hear that there is a group of people in Europe who still live so close to nature. She makes everyone feel welcome too. Takka Innuv Anne, also to the dogs and your beautiful reindeers :)
