- David-A-FrazerEspoo, Finland247 contributionsWe took the Roll cruise around the lake in Kuopio and it was well worth the trip. The views are great although for a booked out cruise, the language announcements in only Finnish leaving multiple people wondering what was said.
If you book the trip add in the lunch option. It’s well presented, really good and value for money. The boat has a bar which is reasonably priced also.
We didn’t add in the vineyard trip and regretted that. - Marianna KKuopio, Finland3 contributionsThe Kuopio citytrain is a "hop on hop off" -route, where you can buy a ticket that is valid for the whole day. The "train" that is driving on the streets has 7 stops on the way. They also tell interesting details about the city on the way - and if you are lucky, you'll hear the driver also singing!

I let my things at the bench and nobody touched it! - Diane DoddMenorca, Spain127 contributionsHoused in an old storage warehouse on the port side this adventure centre has everything to offer the fit and free. Run by entrepreneur Kalevi Puomilahti (super friendly and helpful) the centre opens all year but offers very different activities to suit the contrasting climates of summer and winter. Our host generously helped us create our own package - speeding us across the water to a deserted island and leaving us to explore and swim and then picking us up and taking us on a short excursion to see the summer houses and answering all our questions. Next year Kuopio will be European Region of Gastronomy 2020 and we heard picnic baskets can be ordered full of local products!
