The park is amazing, we loved it and had a great time. We spent several hours in the park and the children didn't want to leave!

One of the most photographed sections of town, for good reason. It is as pretty as it can be. Now a huge tourist draw, so be prepared for crowds. Each house along this canal seems to have a restaurant or a cafe. We found a place for lunch a couple of blocks away that was not crowded.

It’s a lovely attraction to see. We went using the Copenhagen card. Be sure to be there early to beat the crowds. We arrived at 8.45 and got around quickly enough. The lockers are super handy, we didn’t have to carry anything. The gardens are beautiful there

Always loved the impressionists so we stopped into the Glyptotetek to see their large collection of impressionist works such as the Van Gogh, Cezzane and Paul Gauguin works below.

The atmosphere in the food halls was wonderful, with people wandering around with plates stacked full of food from all over the world.
The choice is huge but we chose Paleo which had outdoor reserved seating. The staff were very unfriendly and dis-organised but the food was great and it was nice to sit in the sunshine and watch life go by.
The market has food stalls and restaurants and is great to visit for either.

The Museum is a detailed walk through the past, explaining the advancement of technology and the human condition in Denmark from prehistoric times up to the middle ages. The exhibits are in chronological order, and I learned a lot from my visit. This is one of the attractions that can be accessed through the Copenhagen Card.

This is the huge royal castle in the center of town, a must-see site. It covers a lot of land, and the royal family does spend time here. Big stone plaza in front, come use some trees or shade.

We nearly didn't do this as we had other things we wanted to do but I am so glad we spent the time. The climb up the external of the spire is great but to be honest the best part was the climb through the internal of the church through the bell rooms etc. You can feel the history of the building as you climb through the architecture. It really was a bit magical. I suspect they will stop people going up eventually to preserve the wooden ladders, floors etc. so get in there before they do!

Interesting round tower in the middle of town. Often houses exhibitions - a modern art instalment was on when we were there. Easy to walk to the top, using a circular ‘corridor’, finishing with a few steps. Traffic light system at the top to allow people up and people down the final small amount of steps. Views given over Copenhagen . Many toilets including an original toilet about 1/2 way up / with a long drop shaft- obviously for display only. With it only being 40 DDK, it is probably one of the cheapest historical things to do in Copenhagen.

What a lovely place to relax and let the world go by. The palm house and other glass houses were beautiful and very impressive. The butterfly house was a lovely extra at the end also. If you have the Copenhagen card its a lovely place to pop in and kill an hour or two as it is close to other attractions.
