- Brian FRanders, Denmark383 contributionsDon’t have a boat. However I really like to walk around and look at them and feel the atmosphere. This day was extremely hot and our first visit to Bogense. This Marina is huge! Take a tour!Written 17 August 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.

Don't expect anything, just enjoy the statue and take a small break on the benches.Written 14 August 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - dolpiaSvanderslev, Denmark299 contributionsSaint Nicholas Church.
The church stands at the end of the market place surrounded by old quaint houses and overlooking the sea and a camping site.
The church wa built in 1406 on top of older church ruins. In the mid 15th century additions were made, including the tower which unusually is at the east end of the church. The church is so close to the rocky coast that the grounds west of the church are unfit for building on. The tall spire served as a landmark for shipping. In 2010 comprehensive restorationworks were completed.
The church is beautiful and light. And it has, as most Danish churches, a ship hanging from the ceiling. This is a symbol of the travels from earth to the heavens. It is not a votive gift in Danish churches.
The grounds are well kept and the view towards the sea are also beautiful.
Well worth a visit if you are in the area.Written 1 August 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
