Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- Warner J2 contributionsThe beach was beautiful and clean. Even though it was very crowded, it was clean and peaceful. I had difficulty finding a sun lounger.Written 4 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Richard LAuckland, New Zealand26 contributionsA really nice beach. Parking is limited so get there early. Sand is coarse and the seabed is more pebble than sand. Very calm sea, good for swimming. Sunbeds/shades were more expensive than Nikiti at 15 Euro. Drinks are also on the pricey side. Lots of space to pitch your own brolly and towels. This is clearly a popular beach for families so avoid if the noise of children playing is not your thing. Pedalos and other water sports are available here. Free WiFi available.Written 27 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Happiness03534951235Cosham, UK3 contributionsUpon arrival to Virgina Family Hotel, being told there was no room available we were moved to a sister hotel in Falaraki, which was lovely but not what we had booked! We returned to the Virginia Family Hotel and were upgraded to a pool room which was amazing 😊 Dimosh (Manager) really did exceed our expectations on return to hotel, Thankyou. The food was amazing, very varied and catered for all needs. Our room was beautiful and I would highly recommend staying at this hotel. The beech is a short walk, up/down a rather steep hill, but worth it 👍 visit Rhodes old town, steeped in history with lots of shops/taverns. Will definitely return to RhodesWritten 26 September 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Alina EBucharest, Romania347 contributionsThe beach is really nice, lots of places to sit and relax, if you want to use the chairs and umbrellas from the bars near you need to pay around 10-20€ per day(you order drinks or food for that money).
The water is very good and clear but you need special shoes entering the water because there are a lost of stones and shells.Written 7 August 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. There are some places though, near some cliffs that allow you to have some privacy. But.. you have to be very early at the beach to find a great spot before others occupy it. One of the best beaches in Vourvourou!Written 5 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- VickyCraigOlivia8 contributionsLovely blue sea, sunbeds with unberellas and sand strip not too deep so the sea is close. Bar, cafe on the beach.Written 5 August 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- KateEngland, UK66 contributionsNice beach, quite chilled and family orientated. Rough sand and then pebbly going into the sea. Plenty of bars/restaurants with loungers you can use if you spend money on their food or drinks. Lots of free space too for your own brollies and beach mats. A few shops too. We used the loungers at Blue Sea Cafe, min spend per person £10 for a lounger. Very nice food and drinks there, friendly staff and generous portions.Written 16 June 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Greek Voyager GAthens, Greece13 contributionsNice beach for families. Clean water, no seaweed, shallow for the first 3-4 meters. Parking can be challenging in July. We didn't bother with the sunbeds (20 eur for 2) and sat at a beach bar.
Apart for the loud music which seems to be a must, no complaints from our side.Written 19 July 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Sunbeds available for rental, but all hotels have their own for guests.
Fishing from harbour wall.
Easy access back to main street and bars and restaurants for drinks and snacks.
Would recommend a day relaxing on this lovely beachWritten 16 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews. - Ulas BAlexandroupoli, Greece11 contributionsSea water was very clean and the sand is nice without stones. There were good parking areas behind the beach. There are several cafes and restaurants. Also a park on the water. It was around 25 euros for a family full access. The beach is long and there were not too much trees behind. So you do not see too much green while swimming.Written 17 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- UmfBucharest, Romania6,631 contributionsOne of the few beaches where you have to pay separate for sun beds, most of them give you the chance to get some drinks or food included in this fee.
It is a Sandy beach with clear water but not very good for children. În 5 meters the water is high.
The waitress who served us very nice.Written 10 July 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The beach is nice, but deep after 2-3 meters. There were half meter waves, so with kids was little difficult.

Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews. - IoanaBellaBucharest, Romania47 contributionsA wide beach, without any music, the prices are acceptable, 2 sunbdes and umbrella - 10 eur. Large space between sunbeds.
A small gyros taverna - tasty.Written 28 August 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews. - Christel DNijlen, Belgium354 contributionsAlthough the parking was full, the bay was calm. There are several corners: 2 beaches, 1 bay. People of all ages, many locals too, go to vourvourou for a day out. Besides the water there is nothing to see. There is a foodtruck and a great restaurant (Melia), where you can also get take out.
Water is clean and clear. You can see meters deep.
Parking is free.
Negative: the bushes get used as public toilet.Written 17 August 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews. - 732lanamStuttgart, Germany62 contributionsAfter Psakoudia beach, we were absolutely stunned by the beauty of the sand and crystal clear, turqoise water. The further part was not too crowded either, as opposed to the entrance where there were sunbeds and parasols, a lot of them, but ALL reserved. The staff at the cafe at the entrance was quite unfriendly. Luckily you can just pass them and move further left. Make sure to bring your own parasol, since there is no shade and no possibility to rent. This is a construction site, will probably be for two more years, but it was not loud or busy. You can buy a snack from vendors passing by. There are no toilets, except at the cafe, but not sure whether they allow to use.
The beach is definately worth a visit and good for children and adults alike, but with a parasol!!Written 12 August 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
