- Lefkothea C5 contributionsPorto Katsiki was, for me, the most beautiful beach on Lefkada. The view from the parking lot was fantastic, the waters amazingly blue under the summer sun. The view looks exactly like the pictures.
As for all beaches on the west side of the island, the drive there can be a bit difficult, with lots of turns. Parking costs 10€.
It can be very crowded, there are no beach bars (you should bring your own umbrella). There are two little shops next to the parking lot, however I would advise you to bring your own snacks and drinks.

- Justine T4 contributionsOh, Egremni Beach is an absolute must-visit! I mean, who wouldn't love a casual 1.5 km stroll down a charming 30% incline? It’s practically a free workout! And if you’re lucky, you might even spot goats! They make the trek look easy and will definitely make you question your own fitness level. The beach itself? Totally worth it, especially with those thoughtfully placed stairs that serve as a gentle reminder of the epic climb awaiting you when you’re done relaxing. They really know how to make sure you get a full-body experience, not just a beach day! - Lefkothea C5 contributionsKathisma is one of the beaches on Lefkada that is accessible by car. When it comes to parking, there are a couple of options.
-If you want to park right by the beach without paying, you have to go there very early in the morning.
-There are parking lots where you can park for the whole day. The first one is a bit further away from the beach, it costs 5€ and you can go down the stairs that lead to the beach.
-Covered parking lots by the beach cost 10€ for the whole day.
The beach is clean, with a lot of space where you can place your own umbrella. The first time we went, the waters were clear and perfect for snorkeling. But it is a beautiful place, calm and nature at its Best. Only problem is the bar there: playing extremely loud music (Red Hot chiliepebbers Califonication). I found that very out of place. - SFPriorHigh Wycombe, UK878 contributionsWe hired a car for the day and decided to come and have a look at the beach which is beautiful. We arrived at about midday and it was already very busy.
Didn’t mind paying the €10 to park all day - for this you did get 2 soft drinks or coffees at the cabin on the way to the beach.
We enjoyed watching the kids jumping off the cliff with most of the beach shouting ‘jump, jump….’ Whilst we were there the ferry came in from Vassiliki - good to watch!

At the time of writing it’s really quiet but with signs of other activity as businesses set up for the season.
Sadly, there are also some negatives to report since we were last here. Building work is going on in several places … just down from the Rouda Village apartments, a large area of land has also been cleared between the port and the bay areas suggesting future development; but worst of all what appears to be a quarry has been established (not being worked at present though) right next to the Illyanthos Apartments! Madness! The huge pile of quarried rock has also covered what was a car park, which will seriously restrict parking provision in the height of the season.

The road down is not for larger cars and certainly not for camper vans. Parking is on either the narrow road (and causes issues) or is 5 Euros in one of the 2 car parks.
There is food and drinks available, certainly in early September.
Lots of loungers and umbrellas to hire at 10 Euros a pair of 2 loungers and an umbrella.

Sweet little beach, nice cafe, incredible blue water, although sometimes with a bloom on the surface.
