A reasonable drive from Rhodes town, Lindos is a great place to visit. Many wonderful shops with a great variety of merchandise. I bought some lovely jewellery. Climb up to the amazing temples and spectacular views.

What a gorgeous place to spend the afternoon !! The water is so clear (& very salty.. great for floating on your back🤣)

We just bought our own towels and set up base on the rocks, but you can also hire sunbeds if you would prefer to !! To be honest, we spent most of our time in the water, enjoying🩵

There’s also a restaurant @kounnabeachbar at the top.. we didn’t go in but it looked and smelt gorgeous🤤

From Faliraki, the journey was just over 10 minutes by taxi, costing between €14-€20. There is free parking if you have your own transport !! And then steps down to the bay⛱️

Add Anthony Quinn Bay to your Rhodes bucketlist !! 📍🇬🇷

We were lucky in that it was the end of the season and so park was quiet. No queueing and plenty of sun loungers. You could sre that it was designed and set up for massive queues in the height of the season.
Generally clean throughout although there was one area that did need attention it was around the lower area of the yellow and white striped tube ride.

We truly enjoyed visiting this Medieval old city. One of the stores we enjoyed shopping was an old leather goods store where the owner makes hand made belts. It’s been in business for 3 generations and he has been making belts for decades. He stitched up the belt in front of us and put the buckle in. What a precious souvenir! In another store we bought old fashioned kitchen knife made of steel. It looks Medieval and heavy duty. Truly a time travel back to the past.

Absolutely stunning beach! Perfect golden sand and crystal clear waters.
Usually I'd avoid a 'show off' busy beach. We were end of season and I dread to think what this beach would be like in the height as can only imagine how busy it can get. There is a bar for food and drinks which was good, can sit there or brought to sunbed. Sunbeds were comfortable, I think prices depend on when in the season you attend. Theres showers to rinse off, changing cubes, can get massage, toilets, water sports and parking. Theres a shop too.

We met our guide, Irene, who gave a great tour, right by our cruise ship and walked around the town then up to the “castle”.

The number of times this place changed hands was fascinating, original people, Ottomans, Knights of St. John, Italians, Turkey. etc.

I attached several pictures around the town up at the castle and of rooms inside.

Amazing place to visit. Wish that we had found it sooner. It is a place that you would visit again and again. So much to take in and enjoy.

The quite large old town of Rhodes is a remarkable survival of an essentially western European medieval city, created when the Knights Hospitaller captured the city from the Byzantines in the earlier fourteenth century and then largely preserved under Ottoman rule from the expulsion of order in the early sixteenth century until the Italian conquest of 1912. The most interesting parts to my mind were the numerous narrow side streets, but most famous is the Street of the Knights which is lovely if a little clinically over-restored. Lots of modern shops on the other main streets aimed exclusively at tourists. The massive fortifications with three lines of walls in places are very well preserved and stunnng.

This place was the highlight of our holiday. A little out of the way, but we'll worth the visit.

Feeding all thr animals made for some wonderful memories, and our 18 month old daughter still thinks she can feed every camel, donkey, goat or pig she sees.

One little tip though for small children - underfoot the going is tricky. So whilst it is possible to get round with a buggy (we did) it'd be easier with a carrier.

Lindos is a favourite and I have visited many times with my wife and friends. I last wrote a review in of the bay in 2021 only giving it 2 stars as it was being spoilt by overpriced sun beds and cabanas.

We visited the bay this year to see if it was the same. Very happily it had improved immeasurably! All the dreadful cabanas had gone (hopefully for good). Visitors were able to sunbathe on the beach at no extra cost.

The taverna had been beautifully upgraded and really makes the most of the wonderful setting. Food and services were also excellent, although more expensive than elsewhere. However, the extra cost is worthwhile.

So glad the bay is back as it used to be, but only better…

Nice beach and was great change form the stony beaches along a lot of the coastline. Easy to get too so naturally busy. Lots of accomodation nearby.
