This site and the Parthenon have been on my bucket list for years and they did not disappoint! So fantastic to be walking in history and the footsteps of the ancients. Recommended!!!

The Imbros Gorge walk was on our itinerary when we were touring around Crete.
After some research we decided to start at the top and walk about three quarters of the route and then turn around and walk back up again.
This meant that we could leave the car at the start and avoid having to wait for a taxi at the end of the walk.
It's not a difficult walk. In fact the hardest part was walking downhill at the start to reach the toll booth. I saw a women fall here and she didn't actually start the walk!
Otherwise it's a very pleasant walk with some great scenery.
At one point it's so narrow that my husband could touch both sides with his arms out stretched ( a good picture opportunity!)
Best to start early morning when it's not too hot. By the time we were walking back uphill it was pretty quiet.

Great adventure in Santorini. It is a must do activity for you to enjoy a day and get a great views while walking. It is not that hard, make sure you have enough water, hat and sunscreen. I recommend to start early so that it is not too hot on the lunch time. I am sure you can make it.

Stunning place. We are so glad that we went. It's the viewpoint from the Tsambika monastery that we went to, rather than the beach itself, but it is absolutely gorgeous.

    Definitely worth a visit.
A beautiful walk up to the monastery (though there is parking there if needed) with views over the bay and ocean.
We spent about half an hour in the monastery and this was enough for us. It was very interesting and was something different for us to do!

A lovely church in the heart of Thessaloniki. Can get quite busy but has great feel to it. Not the most beautiful church in the city, but great to see.

This is one of the most stunning and impressive museums I’ve ever visited. You will need a good couple of hours if you want to see all there is to see. The exhibits and ancients artefacts are breathtaking and in such immaculate condition.

4 start rather than 5 for the overcrowding in peak season (it was quite overwhelmingly full of people and hard to see past all the bodies at times) and for the cafe which is fine but could be so much better. More of a cafeteria. I was disappointed they didn’t serve tea but to be fair, it’s Greece, not Britain.

Absolutely stunning. We rented a car and drove out here. Had ice-cream in the little cafe by the car park, and walked up after that. Its stunning up there. Absolutely Gorgeous views and well worth going up.

We found Agrari Beach lovely and relaxing. The water is clean. The road down to the beach is narrow, windy and steep in parts and all this made it tricky when you come across another car - I guess like most narrow roads in Mykonos!
We plonked ourselves on the sunbeds at Agrari Beach Bar & Restaurant - 35€ for 2 sunbeds and an umbrella - reasonable for Mykonos.

Quiet and shady forest with friendly cats and peacocks. Caress them, feed them but don't try to hug. Bring some slices of bread and some croquette. A grandpa is looking for them each day, he won't ask you but leave him some money to buy food for his loved ones. Nice place

Steeped in history, and what a rewarding view at the top!

The only thing I’d mention is that some of the ascent is more of a scramble than a walk, and obviously there are no handrails…! I’d prefer it this way personally- it’s not been ruined at all.

However, if you are a little unsteady on your feet or uneasy with heights, then you may wish to consider whether you wish to visit…!

Busy, bustling in the evening - a place to find anything you want to eat or dance to through the night - truly a must if you want to feel the city

We visited Rethymnon on our way back from Arkadi Monastery. We were on a tour from our cruise and had minimal time to spend here. The town is worth seeing and I wish we had more time to explore. The shops that we briefly looked into had very good quality items. There were souvenir stores and the apparel looked very nice, but we literally had no time to shop. If you decide to go here, go on your own. It is a distance from the cruise ship. If you take a tour, make sure you are given an adequate amount of time to enjoy this lovely area.
