Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Fish stalls didn't seem to be open on a Monday. Prices reasonable and a good variety.Written 4 December 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - rofekamp WimHeemskerk, The Netherlands461 contributionsAfter shopping in the nice super market it is great to relax at the square on the first floor for a drink or snack. Many types of cafeterias. Enough parking space.Written 11 January 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

The gallery owner, a young American who has recently settled in Portugal after 5 years in Africa, brings a fresh and eclectic sense of international style to this open and airy space. Her husband, an artist himself, operates a graphic studio and tattoo parlor on site. Sphinx is a colorful gem with a strong commitment to social justice and to emerging artists. - VoyageuseLondon, UK9 contributionsContemporary Art Gallery showing quality artworks from local and international artists. Free admission for the exhibitions which are expertly curated and beautifully displayed. Relaxing atmosphere, service is friendly, polite and very helpfull. Prices are reasonable, and if you don't see immediately something you are looking for, don't be afraid to ask, as they have plenty in store, also they accept commissions, so you can find something perfect just for you. Will certainly visit again as they often have vernissages in presence of the artists.Written 11 February 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - BeezlebenPorthcawl, UK25 contributionsThis is the workshop of an international sculptor who also has some of his paintings on show. The FB site and Google map show that they open all day every day but in truth the artist is willing to open whenever you want to visit providing you call first. You may be in luck if you just find your way there. It's just five minutes north of the N125. When you reach Alcalar, you turn left up the hill opposite the cafe (yellow when we visited) and you will see a large villa with the name in ceramic a few hundred yards up on your left.
The artist was kind enough to talk to us about his work, his materials, his commissions etc and show us his workspace. There are several sculptures in the garden and 20-30 inside plus a couple of dozen paintings. Certainly worth a visit if you love finding these little gems when you are on holiday.Written 20 March 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. This shop is very cozy!
The products are really good and tasty. A big advantage is that you can taste the cookies or the drinks.
This year was the first year when I bought as souvenirs some local products. I gave some as presents, but in the same time I kept some to eat because they were too good.Written 27 June 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Could have easily bought more. The lady who served us packed the items in bubble wrap and they arrived home in my suitcase in one piece. Thank you!Written 30 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- DERtravelsPomona, CA1,440 contributionsWhat beautiful linens in this lovely shop! We purchased some precious children's robes for our grandchildren. The towels for kitchen and bath were also part of our purchases. Very friendly shopkeepers. Stayed open a few extra minutes for us to browse before afternoon break.
