Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What a fabulous museum!! It is very comprehensive and yet small enough to see everything in about 2.5 - 3 hours. It is extremely crowded but you can still make your way around each floor. We saw “The Potato Eaters”, “Sunflowers”, “The Yellow House”, and many self-portraits along with other works by Van Gogh and a few by Gauguin, Monet, Manet and others. One of my favorites was a Pieta that Van Gogh copied in part from another artist, adding color and other detail. Beautiful! The museum also has an excellent bookstore/shop. It is very touching that this museum was founded by Van Gogh’s nephew, his brother Theo’s son, who was named for the artist.

My wife and I always try to visit the main city center park in a new city, and Vondelpark is a gem. Lots of paths, ponds, well-placed eateries, open space, etc. - something for everyone, and everyone was there! Very fun.

Loved this experience! Enjoyed how it was interactive. Well worth the money for the amount of Heineken you can consume!

Only feedback would be, we didn't spend much room in the tasting room and felt like we had to literally down the beer!!

Visited this contemporary art museum. Nice, the visit in two hours is feasible. I really liked the possibility of being able to take the audio guide for free.

We went to the Albert Cuyp Markets specifically to try the pickled herring and stroopwaffel after seeing them on YouTube. We weren't disappointed on either - they were both great. The pickled herring took a bit of courage to try, but that was misconceived as it was a real experience and the herring was not at all "fishy". Tried the traditional stroopwaffel with the caramel filling, and it was hot off the cooking plate - rea;;y tasty and crispy, and better than any others in Amsterdam I tried. Only downside was there are no toilets, and you have to go to a café or fast food place.

We could have spent all day in the Rijksmuseum. More Rembrandts, Vermeer's and treasures then you can take in. TOP Class museums. Look for the Merry Family painting. My new favorite. Museum quarter very easy to navigate. In Rijks museum we found helpful staff.

TIP: We used the I Amsterdam Card for admission. Right outside the museum is a canal tour which I highly recommend.

Went here as one of the last things we did in Amsterdam before we all travelled back to our respective countries - we had lunch on one of the park benches a short walk away from the metal dome installation (whilst also having to shield our Albert Heijn lunches from some very large birds hissing around us) and then slowly wandered around the park for a bit before making our way back to the entrance. Absolutely wonderful experience, and a lovely change of pace from everything going on in the city itself.

Huge arena, great for events however in a sense its 'too big' if not enough people attend. Prefer Ziggo Dome but still great place for events

Went to the event with family on a Christmas Day.

Place was full of people, but no huge lines anywhere.

Outside there was carousel, ferris wheel and couple of slides.

Indoors play areas with fake snow, ice skating ring, curling, lot of small booths with food and games. For the booth (carneval)games you need to pay but everything else is included in the price.

There was also band playing, magician show and puppet show. Kids got face paintings and there was also Elsa, Olaf and Cinderella joining the party.

It was worth the ticket and kids enjoyed the Christmas feeling. We ended up spending almost 5 hrs on site.

The most visited park in Amsterdam

That is how it is described. The park was under construction when we went there in July 2022. The ambiance is great and well visited. But I would rather go to Vondelpark if I had to choose

We stayed at the Cityden apartments recently on this very upscale, very busy street. Lots of high end shops and plenty of noise from people on the street on bikes, cars, trams, sirens etc. Still, felt like a very safe area. Just beware crossing the street as bikes stop for no man!
