What a fabulous museum!! It is very comprehensive and yet small enough to see everything in about 2.5 - 3 hours. It is extremely crowded but you can still make your way around each floor. We saw “The Potato Eaters”, “Sunflowers”, “The Yellow House”, and many self-portraits along with other works by Van Gogh and a few by Gauguin, Monet, Manet and others. One of my favorites was a Pieta that Van Gogh copied in part from another artist, adding color and other detail. Beautiful! The museum also has an excellent bookstore/shop. It is very touching that this museum was founded by Van Gogh’s nephew, his brother Theo’s son, who was named for the artist.
