Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- Teun v4 contributionsVery nice views and impressive ruins, but what really set this visit apart was the (free!) tour given by Cedric. His knowledge about the castle was incredible and his enthusiasm was contagious! The tour was listed as being 1 hour, but we were there for almost 2.Written 4 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Debbie MCorvallis, OR279 contributionsThis was very interesting. The pictures drawn on the walls and the paintings were intricate. They have recently opened up the sanctuary to view. Our local friend said you could not even see into it when she went last. The organ is considered to be the oldest organ in the world that can still be played. Our daughter went on Pentecost Sunday afternoon and got to hear the organ! This was a free event - no appointment needed. The view from there of Sion is lovely!Written 7 June 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Pickle C8 contributionsWe successfully made a taste without any reservation, and the staffs were really helpful with introducing all kinds of win to us. After tasting, we purchased some nice wine with nice discounts.
If you are taking public transport to get here, you will have to take a 15-minute walk on the road, but also with marvelous scenery and can have a close look into the grape fields.Written 11 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. There are many activities like mini golf, climbing wall, miniature train, rope park, lawns and even swimming in the lake. There is also a restaurant (not air conditioned), but many people were enjoying picnics in the shade.Written 28 June 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - ☆~Ann-Paul~☆19 contributionsIt's a very lovely museum with lots of amazing fews!
The museum itself shows the history of the castle and sion with a variant of different kind of pieces.
In every room there are papers with information about the pieces in French, German and English.
In most rooms there also chairs that flip open with smal activities for children to keep them occupied.
Besides the museum there is also a cafe and a chapel to see.
The staff was very polite and there are lockers for bags at the reception.
It's a very lovely activity for about 1/2 hours and the stairs to the castle were not that bad. 🌤🏔Written 24 April 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - TokePetersenBasel, Switzerland214 contributionsThis is a good size museum, showing the animals and fauna in the local area. We got a plan in English, and our 10-year olds were entertained for 1.5 hour, and so were we. Other nice museums nearby (art and history museum). Perfect for a rainy day. Not too many people, and the COVID setup seems sensible.Written 3 October 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
