- GC_TPHDublin, Ireland252 contributionsThe best beach of the island by far, but also the busiest one. By walk it takes about 15 minutes from the street down to go there. It opens at 8.30.
If it is constantly rated the best beach in 'Europe' it must be a reason!
The water and colour of the sand are so unique. Speechless.
Lampedusa has also the advantage of having a convenient airport to travel from Catania or Palermo, and the norther airports on summer time.Written 4 October 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Agucha1983London, UK48 contributionsEven though the beach is beautiful, it was too crowded... August is high season for internal tourism in Italy “Ferragosto” and we didnt know...
Expect to pay crazy prices in accommodation and even sun umbrellas and 2 sun beds cost €30...
Two days is more than enough.Written 24 August 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Chanelle C61 contributionsIncredible spot with the most amazing water. Super clean with a stunning rock setting. Not the easiest to access but 100% worth it if you can get there. Recommend the little aqua shoes sold in the town!Written 5 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Bramley1961Watford, UK41 contributionsWe enjoyed a nice relaxing lunch at this beach-side venue.
Friendly, couteous staff eager to ensure we were well attended to. Good range of reasonably priced drinks, serving everything from teas, coffees, hot chocolate to beers, liqueurs and spirits at good prices. Standard lunch menu with prices generally 1/2 € less per item (food) then other local venues. The burger I had with fries was very nicely cooked in a soft, fresh bap which was agenerous size. Good relaxing venue with efficient staff. Bit of a wait to pay the bill (different venues have different systems such as bringing bills to tables, others where you pay at till, others do both) but otherwise very good all round.Written 27 June 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Krokodil198691 contributionsA very nice beach 30 mins out from Palermo. Even on a warm windy November this was a wonderful place to get out from the city.
The only problem is the really awful public transport system. Taking the 806 bus out to Mondello was not too much of a hassle, the buses do not run every 20 mins as advertised. However trying to get back into the city on a Saturday afternoon was futile. We gave up after waiting an hour, and had to relieve a taxi driver from police harassment instead.Written 16 November 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - phat_dawg_21Alpharetta, GA12,262 contributionsThis was a popular beach with crystal clear water and fine sand. It was very busy when we visited on an early June morning. There were lots of places to eat in the area, as well as lounge rentals and changing rooms.Written 31 July 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Mauro CMilan, Italy160 contributionsNice beach with lot of fish. Water was transparent and clean. Beach with lot small stones (not sand).Written 20 June 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Manjari24 contributionsBeautiful views across the walk/trek. A great natural pool to relax. Beauty of nature is bountiful and fresh the waters are pristine and clear.Written 9 August 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- fencingdadRidgefield, NJ259 contributionsOn visit to Taormina while staying at private Villa in nearby Naxos - family visited this private beach-club. If staying in Naxos - this is the preferred way to go to the beach. Must pay for space, chairs, umbrellas on beach. One Lido club after another located nearby. There are sections of the beach which are public and free - but a bit away from all the shops, restaurants and cafes. These lido clubs are very common in Europe and very convenient. Access to rest rooms and food/drink - for example. Beach is nice for Siciliy but not ultra sandy like Carribean or Fla. We visited in mid-Oct - so season was nearly over and not crowded at all. Summer months could be diff to even book spots at these Lido Clubs (so beware)!Written 28 December 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Alan JAylesbury, UK75 contributionsIn mid April ‘22 the beach was (a) littered, (b) 95% covered in seaweed and sea balls.
After a storm, just before Easter, it turned to 95% sand and just 5% seaweed - much better, but still littered.
No bins anywhere beyond the car park.
Public roads in poor condition, weeds growing everywhere, litter everywhere.
Hopefully better in the summer season ??Written 25 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Lyle WMiami, FL5,480 contributionsThe beach area is small, clean and nicely secluded, but a fair amount of the beach area is private, requiring you to pay, upside is payment includes an umbrella and chairs. Water was cold but fairly clear and the area was not very crowded.Written 28 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- LostInSicilySouth Burlington, VT10 contributionsWas there in late October. Great time. Awesome thunderstorms but we went anyway! Sat in the parking lot and watched the lightning over the water. Everyone left. Storm died down. We hiked down to the cobble and pebble beach. Just us and a young couple from France. Surf was very noisy on the steep beach. Bring your water shoes. The swimming was excellent. Had to leave when storm rolled in again, but treated to double rainbow over the sea on the way back! Definitely worth visiting. You won't forget this place.Written 12 November 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Richard BTodmorden, UK656 contributionsWe stopped here for a few hours whilst touring the area.
Pleasant area of the port & beach. Lots of restaurants & bars.Written 4 October 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - BobStamfordStamford, UK786 contributionsWe only spent a short time here but the scenery was fabulous - crashing seas at times but great to watch and absorb. Well worth a visitWritten 30 October 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- MaggieCUnited Kingdom16 contributionsVery good beach, very nice team. One suggestion: when people usually rent a space, it means that that space is private usually. When we went to Spiaggia Guidaloca, people from the free beach were sitting just in front of us and preventing us to see the beautiful view of the sea. This is a bit unfair and not nice, especially during COVIDWritten 21 August 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
