What travellers are saying
- ianx17489Inverurie, UK795 contributionsLovely gardens just down from the amphitheatre that are free to enter. The gardens are very interesting with many eccentric follies....
The story boards give a good understanding of the lady who laid out the formal gardens and the follies. Stunning views.

- JazzumboRomania1,470 contributionsThe largest ficus trees that I have ever seen are growing in this park. They are probably ones of the largest of their species in Europe. Every single one is like a little forest by itself. Each one could accommodate dozen of thousand of birds on its branches. They have some sort of aerial roots. Simply amazing!
About 90% of the ficus trees that I have seen in my life were poor little trees trying to survive in pots located in offices, hotels or apartments.
The garden is protected by an amazing craft metal fence and host the statues of some historical personalities, including Giuseppe Garibaldi.
Romanian people have an additional good reason for visiting the place: the statue of Nicolae Balcescu is located in this park.Written 4 June 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - 20Clara17Germany6 contributionsVilla Malfitano is a charming mansion hidden in a park in the middle of Palermo. It has beautiful interiors and the staff was very nice!Written 3 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Sina HauggMunich, Germany9 contributionsNice botanic garden to visit and stroll around. The huge Ceiba trees and the very old impressive ficus are well worth a visit.
We‘d recommend to bring heaps of mosquito repellent though, since the mozzies are a real plague and you will get eaten!Written 22 September 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - RRamananLondon, UK92 contributionsA very pleasant stroll around these formal and scientific gardens. Small but full of interest. The collection of cacti are a delight.Written 15 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Gerd_from_LundLund, Sweden39 contributionsIf I go back to Agrigento it's because I want to visit this magnificent garden again with all the 560 orange trees. And next time I want to visit the garden in March the orange trees are in bloom.Written 24 February 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.

- Sally62Northampton, UK4,576 contributionsA lovely public garden in the centre of the town. The balustrades around the park and the bandstand are beautifully decorated in ceramic tiles for which the town is known.Written 29 May 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- MeridianManchesterManchester312 contributionsWithin the Parco Comunale there is a wonderful little museum, the Museo degli Antichi Mestieri. It is privately owned and is open Saturday and Sunday 9.30 to 12.30. It costs €2.50 and this includes a guided tour by the owner, a real enthusiast and collector. He doesn't speak a lot of English but that is not really a problem. He knows a bit and can communicate by gesture and his fascination for his collection. There are several rooms and each wall or corner has a theme. Some relate to old skills of the area with lots of equipment to see. Others relate to activities such as school, leisure, advertising etc.. There must be hundreds of toys and a lot of them work - they would do well on the Antiques Roadshow. Did you know that Fiat used to make fridges? This was definitely the highlight of our visit to Zafferana.Written 17 July 2015This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- william YSeneca, SC1,253 contributionsOur group came to the Villa to see the grounds and have Lunch. It is in the middle of town but is very isolated with the walls and vegetation. We enjoyed walking around and seeing all the old irrigation on the grounds. They also provided us with a great lunch.Written 15 November 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
