Pietro was the most engaging and informative guide for our little group. He led us through the history of Etna and it’s eruptions, whilst at 2000m and also to a gorgeous view of Etna, it’s craters and a lava cave. The cable car does go higher, but it’s barely noticeable when you have such an engaging guide and a 4x4! It was topped off by a tasting session of local farm produce. Highly recommended!

Marco is simply superb! We had a fantastic time with him and Georgio - a delightful Italian/English student - in the market buying the freshest produce, then learning how to cook traditional Sicilian cooking like Marco’s grandmother taught him! Marco has created a bespoke cookery school in his traditional Palermo apartment and used all his professional chef skills to teach us not just great Sicilian recipes but also lots of tips and tricks to make all our cooking better. We have attended cookery classes all over the world and this was one of the best. Georgio provided not only perfect translations from Marco’s Italian to English (although his English is actually very good!) but encouragement and support as we cooked. We thoroughly enjoyed our cooking with Marco and Georgio - and also our lunch and conversation.

This class is so much fun you forget your are learning! Chef Massimo imparts a wealth of culinary knowledge in a humorous non threatening way. His “kitchen” is on a hilltop overlooking the sea with an outdoor terrace perfect for enjoying wine or fresh juice and the results of your cooking - several courses of fresh food. This was a perfect way to spend the day. I enjoy cooking and cook at home “from scratch” all the time. I still learned new things during this class. I highly recommend this class for anyone who enjoys food and cooking.

Informative and inspiring, you really get into the head of the locals - of both small businesses owners and activists - on this tour. It’s an interesting story, told with passion and clarity.

Really nice trip! Although rainy and stormy day! But Andrea guided us wonderful and with a lot of humor! Next time in Catania again - with sun and summit of the Vulcano!

We had an amazing time with Karolina. She was a great fun guide to the two big markets in Palermo and many of the main sights. She adapted to what we wanted to try and when stalks were closed or out of something. And we were so glad we'd spent a bit more on a private tour when we saw large groups being herded through the markets wearing earpieces so they could hear their guide. Karolina left us with a real passion for Palermitan food and a hunger for more (after a quick nap).

My second time in Palermo and I found Domenico again. Friends and o had a tour with him three years ago and thought he was fabulous. Now I’m back in Palermo with my husband and wanted to find Domenico again. It took a bit of sleuthing since my friend booked him on our last visit but I was lucky enough to find him. Domenico is full of interesting tidbits and stories about his city’a history and the current state of affairs. He’s got a very engaging manner and sprinkles humour through his tour. He is definitely a guy you would want to hang out with for an aperitivo! His tour is a great mix of street food and city sights. I would not hesitate to recommend this tour if you want to have fun and learn about Palermo. Do this on your first day to get oriented. You’ll get so much more out of exploring by yourself the following days!

Word of mouth is how we found Mauro and we want to pass on the recommendation. Mauro did a marvelous job explaining what we were seeing. He has a great deal of knowledge about Palermo’s history, it’s architecture and the people who have lived here over the centuries. He did a wonderful job weaving all these facets together. From the awesome churches to the raucous market, with Mauro’s help we learned about Palermo, ate new foods and enjoyed the fabulous spirit of the city. His kindness to our needs, flexibility in a varied schedule and meeting our desires with regard to sightseeing was much appreciated. We have a new guide and friend. Grazie, Mauro.

Very enjoyable three and a bit hours with knowledgeable guide exploring street food (and drink) and more. Agatha took time to explain mush about this interesting city along with its food and culture.

It was an excellent introduction to Cataina and one I would reccomend wholeheartedly

Lovely experience on a beautiful day. Wonderful view of the crater and explosions as well as sunset. Walking sticks is not a bad idea as the path is slippery in some points especially coming down. Good shoes a must . Needed a jacket after sunset as it was chilly.

Frederica guided us right before Easter through the food heaven in Palermo. It was the highlight of my short Sicily stay. You get a city best to know through its food and people. So go and explore the Palermo with Frederica!

Our 10 day long trip was based on Palermo as a headquarter, so from the there we had bigger chance to discover Erice and Segesta - I would say - slightly off the beaten path for many foreign tourist visiting Sicily. The town of Erice is probably one of the most preserved town of the island. Narrow streets, castles, churches, restaurants etc. - and you feel the history everywhere, but Erice is like a living organism, not like an open-air museum. Segesta with its Doric columns and views a good addition to this tour. I strongly recommend this small group tour of TourofSicily. Good organization, perfect guide and driver.

Fabrizio was our guide and he was great! We were 4 Americans none of which had been to Sicily. He took us to great spots, showed us how locals live/eat, and touched on the rich history of Palermo. I would highly suggest this tour. It gave us a great grounding for Palermo.

We were in Palermo for our honeymoon and the wine tour with Marco has been the highlight of our trip thus far!! Super informative, fun, and great wines! Do not hesitate to book a tour- they love what they do and it shows :-) the places Marco took us, we wouldn’t of found without the tour. Book with streaty, you won’t regret it!!

Our guide for the day was Aurora. She was fantastic! We met at the assigned place in the morning. She was waiting for us when we arrived. She gave us a quick history of the city before we started. She is very knowledgeable about her history and it was told in an interesting way not dry or boring at all. Aurora was able to answer any of the questions we had even the ones that weren’t specifically related to the areas she was showing. She walked us thru the old city and we really felt we received a great overview of what we were seeing. She is very personable so it was a pleasure spending the day with her. She also took us down many side streets and showed us a lot of areas that we never would have found on our own. At the end of the tour she treated us to the best Canoli in Palermo. It was delicious. It really was a great day. I can’t highly recommend this tour enough. We truly enjoyed our day in Palermo especially with Aurora. If you are planning a trip to Palermo please take this tour with her.
