It is said that the canals of Milan are very lively in the evening. During the day, however, they are boring and there is nothing to do here. There are mostly restaurants

Nice showroom of Armani, to discover the Italian fashion, even if you are not a fan of Armani. It's not too long, enough to have a good knowledge of this artist.

Used until the end of 1950 for washing clothes.
The moat is fed by the Naviglio Grande.
In the 19th century the men took care of the washing service, so is an unusual place dedicated to launderers and not to the laundresses

I attended an official function in the MUDEC. While the displays were interesting, the organization and service were appalling.

We walked slowly around the Navigli channel, suddenly saw an anonymous church, the door was open and there was no one inside, it was very quiet.
There was an atmosphere that affected people in the silence, we watched the works in it for a long time, it created a great feeling on us.

I was able to learn the name of that church later, I noticed that Leonardo was confused with the little church where the last dinner table was. We wanted to see it there too but it was impossible to find a ticket

a few photos I've taken can give you some idea of the church

Located by the Grand Canal this market sells an array of things, including; clothing, books, DVDs, antiques and plants. If you are at the canal on a Saturday morning, it is a pleasant few minutes looking for a bargain or an original souvenir, but I would not suggest making the trip for the market alone.

We stayed at the nearby Magna Pars Suites. This is near the Porta Genova Station. It was an industrial area which you can still see remnants of it as well as its urban roots with the graffiti on the buildings.

It is now being transformed into a hip and happening area.

Its proximity to Navigli helps with the buzzing and busy atmosphere of restaurants and bars.

According to the woman working there, the permanent exhibition closed in 2011. Now they do occasional special exhibitions of other artists.
Don't waste your time visiting as we did.

THIS IS IT! Great food, spectacular desserts, and the absolutely best gin and tonics in the world. I had Mombasa gin with 1724 tonic and a special herbaceous blend (in a tea bag) added. SUBLIME! A highlight of our trip to Milan. I wish I time/energy to try more....
