Visited here as we love hiking. The bus took us straight from central Lecco to the cable car, a quick journey up to the most amazing views of Lecco and Lake Como.
The signposts for hikes weren’t the best but we did find our way to a small hike which took us a couple of hours to complete.
The restaurant at the top was full so we waited and took the cable car to the restaurant at the bottom and had a very welcomed beer with a great sandwich. Simple and tasty!
    Would definitely recommend this!

Il “matitone” is absolutely the best Belvedere of Lecco. Interesting history, trilling ascension and trained guides. Ok!

When you are in Lecco or around and love hiking, this is the place you should go to!
We took a cable car - Funivia Piani d'Erna (cost 11,50 € both ways) and after that followed the path taking us up & to the cottage. Meals in the cottage are served from 12 and you can even have a nice wine :-) The hike up from the cable car station took us around 2 hours (I consider ourselves being very fit), back down it was around 1,5 hours. You should definitely wear hiking boots!

The Basilica of San Nicolo is located in the heart of Lecco, in an elevated position near Lake Como. The Church of San Nicolo is the most important place of worship in the city. Built in the neoclassical style, it has very ancient roots. The front door dates from 1975 . The interior has three naves, one central and two on the sides with perimeter chapels. I recommend visiting this beautiful church.

    The center is nice
You can walk in the evening and very nice.
There are many people and music from restaurants.
There are places to sit and drink for food.
Nice to sit in the evening and eat.
In general one can spend an hour or two enough.
    :)

It's a nice place but not something to have on top of your list if you do not know who Alessandro Manzoni was. The place and the entrance can be hard to find especially since there are no signs. Also, it's a pitty you cannot visit the gardens.
Even if we were the only visitors the guide was very nice and helpful. We certainly plan to read "The Betrothed" now :)

Great walk, great views! Strongly recommend to go. We were almost alone on the route, which made out trek more amazing :). We did the walk in less that 5 hours with 2 short breaks. The path itself is not really signed in one area and we lost the track (in the forest just before mountain itself) so we ended up in just climbing up through the bushes and grass, which was super steep.

We walked there but were hoping for more. The hotel and restaurant looked shut but I can imagine that it was a nice setting on a sunny day.

Built 1336 - 1338 still well preserved this bridge serves to connect Lecco and Malgrate, worth a visit for the views up the river from it.

The Church which was built after First World War is located in Lecco’s centre, near Alessandro Manzoni square and it’s dedicated to the fallen of the First World War. The church bell rings just once a day at 7pm to honor Lecco’s war casualties. Its austere architecture renders it a beautiful and serene place.
