Lovely area around the cathedral that has loads of shops, restaurants and places to eat, drink and watch everything going on. The main area in Milan. Has to be on your list when visiting

Definitely a great little town for a few hours. The old town is cute with many shops and restaurants. We also stumbled upon mini golf on the waterfront, which was a fun surprise and recommended!

The upper town (Citta Alta) of Bergamo is the medieval part of Bergamo, rising up about 100 m above the newer lower city.
It can be reached by funiculare (from the Viale V. Emanuelle II) or by foot (a 15-30 minutes stroll uphill).
Take at least 2-3 hours (including getting up and down) for visiting some of the most interesting attractions and strolling through the narrow medieval streets of the old town).

Very nice daytrip from Milan. Easy to go by train direktly from Cadorna station and inexpensive too. Even if it was cool day, there was much to see.

Extremely interesting site that is very well presented. It was amazing to walk through ruins that date from 12BC - 14AD. The site is very large and is surrounded by the lake and a beautiful olive grove.

For someone who is interested in historical material, this museum has a lot to show. Ancient ruins of houses and mosaics, mediaval churches with astonishing decorations and well restored buildings. I visited the museum with my students and it was a great experience. If you want to know about Brescias' past, you must visit it. It's better to have a guide with you.

We also toured gardens of villas Serbelloni and Carlotta and Cipressa and Monasterio, but this was our favorite. Easy walk from Bellagio town. Highly photogenic views.
Serbelloni and Carlotta not far behind.

The climb is spectacular (make sure you look up from the bottom and vice versa), as is the view at the top. We spent ten minutes with our tour guide and reckon it’s 30 minutes maximum up there if you visit the light house. Make sure you take the view in. Don’t hurry; it’s breathtaking.

We were not really sure what to expect, but were pleasantly surprised and amazed by the beautiful art and interiors of the palazzo. Also they had a nice little exhibition of Egyptian artifacts. Don't miss this when visiting Mantova.

Just stopped by to see what the place had to offer as our stay was nearby.
Was greeted by super friendly staff and complimentary wine tasting, and some facts and information about the local wineries. Service was beyond what could be expected. 10/10
