- A C1 contributionValentina, our host was wonderful and super knowledgeable. The restaurants we visited were amazing. Fantastic food and great atmosphere. The best part of the tour was Valentina who shared her knowledge of not just each dish we ate but also their history how they developed, differences between dishes in Bologna and other regions of Italy. We could tell she is passionate about food and its history. He even was willing to help out with our young son! - Samuel B1 contributionThis is a CANNOT miss experience. Grazia is one of the nicest / most genuine cooking teachers ever. She has a vast knowledge of the regional history and its food. The whole experience felt like you were family, learning family recipes.
From start to finish, we never stopped smiling, laughing and having a fun time. Learning how to make, prepare and then eat the tagliatelle and tortelloni. It was truly exceptional, especially pairing it with a local wine and learning more about the region from Grazia.
When we return to bologna, we will do this experience again. The price is worth it for this. If you enjoy cooking at home or are a foodie, you HAVE to learn to cook from Grazia.

I would have preferred the Cliff Notes version. She lost me a few times as there was TOO much information provided. The headset system was of poor quality, especially with large crowds along our walk. We could hardly hear the guide...even with the volume turned up loud. It really wasn't about the volume, it was just bad quality. Antonia guided us through the streets of Bologna, pointing out all the important historical buildings, taking us inside various sites, and even recommending the perfect place for lunch--that has amazing fresh tortellini. Along the way, she gave us time to duck into a few shops so we could buy some parmesan and tea and sniff some gorgeous perfume. She was friendly, funny, and informative.
