Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

It was a long day but totally worth it not just because of where we were going but also because of our tour guide Angelina Militello and the coach driver.
With an early morning start, the City Wonders coordinator was there to organize everyone into groups depending on the tour they were taking. Once in the bus, a 2 hour drive to Pompeii with a bathroom/coffee stop on the way. Angelina was very knowledgeable, communicative, entertaining, enthusiastic, we could not have asked for a better guide
. Even though it was a tour for English speakers, her knowledge of several languages including Spanish helped some of the participants in better understanding what she was explaining.
Once we arrived in Poompeii, Angelina handed our group over to Mauro, the Pompeii expert, for this part of the tour. He too was great, very knowledgeable, engaging and funny at times. This part lasted 1 1/2 hrs.
From here our tour continued southbound towards the Amalfi coast with its breath taking views with a stop at a Limoncello manufacturer for a tasting and then on to the beautiful town of Positano for our late lunch. All the while Angelina was explaining the history and telling us stories of the area.
Our return to Rome took longer, around 4 hrs as a result of having gone further south to visit the Amalfi coast and town.
I highly recommend this tour, my family and I were amazed, delighted with the sites, the history and the cultural aspect of this journey. Yes it's a long tour but as long as you are mentally prepared, wear comfortable clothes and shoes, bring along a bottle of water (although there are plenty of opportunities to buy bottles along the way) you will not regret it! Thank you Angelina and coach driver for a memorable day!

It was a great experience. Riding the train was well worth the time it saved. The tour around Pompeii was great. The guide was very knowledgeable and the wine experience was fun as well. I highly recommend this tour.

I found our guide very informative on the history and knowledge of Rome and the Roman empire.
It was great not to have to wait in queues to buy tickets, and we managed to see so much in a day! Wear good walking shoes.

The views were amazing….. something a camera cannot properly capture. The trip was filled with landscapes, culture, excellent food experience with wine, great shopping in quaint stores. But the trip was 5 star +++ because of our guide, Claudia. She was fun, entertaining, educational and such an enjoyable trip. If you can… ask for Claudia!!!!

Finally, I found myself walking in the ancient city of Pompeii! It was incredible. Unfortunately, less than half way through the tour, it rained heavily. There was no cover to be found and we were all soaked. We had to rush through our tour and missed quite a lot. Our guide was absolutely fantastic.

Excellent tour and guide. We thought about touring on our own, but these sites really need a professional guide to get the history and culture of the times. Joseph was excellent. Based on previous TripAdvisor reviews, we opted to do our own lunch. Taverna Dracula was outstanding.

As others have mentioned, this tour is a very long day with most of your time spent on the very crampt bus. Pompeii was a must see for us, but sadly we saw about a 10th of the site in the short time we were there (about 2 hours). Guide was excellent and knowledgeable, but I wish we could have had more time to explore on our own. We visited in the winter and were aware we wouldn't see Amalfi or Positano - we went to Sorrento instead. It was the Befana day so maybe that's why it was sleepy and quiet. We did enjoy a delicious pizza while in Naples! Some feedback for the company is to amend their requirement to bring ID with you on the tour. We were concerned about bringing our passports and weren't sure if a photograph would suffice. The tour operators did not ask to see anyone's ID on the day. Looking back now, for the price of the tour and the short time we spent in Pompeii, I wish I had considered accommodation in Naples and spent a day exploring the site on my own. Would have avoided a crampt and stuffy 4 hour round trip from Rome.

Booked a day very long day so plan it well excellent guide and coach service nice ans relaxed lovely to see the Bay of Naples . Pompeii is a must see and our guild was brilliant. Given the choice we would pass on the food it was very poor and service was very abrupt, just wasn't the best. Otherwise very enjoyable day. Plan your way back once dropped off.

Very interesting and educational tour. Hard to believe how they lived and the disaster they encountered. The size of the ruins was much larger than we expected. Be prepared to walk on irregular slick surfaces both up hill and down.

What an awesome day tour, we went to Pisa and Florence. We had the best tour guides anyone could ask for Dana and Mr. John did an excellent job and we had a wonderful driver Adam whom drove us from Rome and back in a very nice touring van. This was a small group tour which Made it all the better. Highly recommend. Gil & Liz

Loved this tour!! Our guide, Val was excellent!! She is very knowledgeable, friendly and professional. She did a great job of keeping up with a large group in crowded areas. She helped all of us feel comfortable at the train station and on the train going and returning. The tour is not rushed. We enjoyed our free time in Venice. The gondola ride was romantic. Even though the city was very crowded, it is beautiful! We made the best of it and marked this destination off our bucket list. We highly recommend this tour!! It is very enjoyable!

Such an amazing trip. Livio brought us to the most beautiful scenic views. Me and my wife had a great time on the tour. I would highly recommend this tour for anyone looking to fill a day while staying in Italy. 10/10

Glad we read the reviews before going.
We knew about the 1 hour bus tour of Naples, & glad we’ve now done it. We won’t be back, but fab day trip from Rome.
We did self guided tour of Pompei- saved £100, went at our own pace & learnt lots from the ap / reading signs.

The tour overall was great and the tour guide, Christina, was really good. The lunch in Tuscany was amazing as was the visit to Orvieto. We loved Assisi and visiting both churches.
The only unpleasant part of the tour was the bus ride. The temperature on the bus was freezing in the morning then way too hot on the way home. We asked the driver to adjust multiple times, but it was still not pleasant.
Also, the tour guide in Assisi was very knowledgeable, but sounded like she read a script most of the time.
