Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

    What an amazing site!
Visits are possible only during low tide (+/- 2 hours from lowest point of tide). You have to get the permit (free) online before going there, it’s easy and google will point you to the right official Galician website.
There is free parking closeby, a restaurant with clean toilets close to the parking.
Then you go down a couple of stairs to the beach, which is absolutely beautiful, with amazing rock formations that gave the beach the name.
At the very lowest point of the tide you can actually continue around the eastern tip and get to another beach with easier access.
Lifeguards are at the beach, also guides for guided tours.
Please take your garbage with you and if you’re a smoker it should be logical that you don’t throw the cigarette buts on the beach. (Unfortuantely we saw it all).
Don’t be disappointed, in season the beach will never be quiet (850 permits per day are issued), so pictures of the catedrais will most probably always have people on them.

Praia de Rodas is one of the some beaches located in Cíes Islands, near Vigo, in the Western part of Galicia Region, in the North of Spain. It is a sand beach with white sand, so it is a very nice place, which you see when arrive to the island (the little port is close to this beach). We see it, when we began a hike around all main island, and when we finished, we went to this beach to relax, drink a glass of wine and bath. It was very good! Really, it is a very nice place to bath and/or sunbath, while you see views and relax.

This beach has such a beautiful view. Great boardwalk with roller skating park, 2 pools, and plenty of sitting areas. A couple of great restaurants right on the beach o grab a drink with a view.

It´s easy to get there and find a carpark place. The beach is beautiful and clean. Perfect for families but quite busy on Saturday and Sunday specially the first two weeks of August. You also can find "chiringuitos" in the very sea shore to have a refreshment.

The ocean is very clean, but cold. That's why we didn't swim. We collected a lot of shells and had a good time in the sun. No big crowd.

We like Angelito, located at the end of Playa America. Nigran. It has a very nice interior open door terrace, two indoor sitting areas, and friendly service.
It seems that every season they have the challenge to find the right Chef to offer updated and tasty cooking.
We only had appetizers, Fried Xouvas which were good but lacking a pinch of salt, Pulpo a Feira, half of the plate very good and the other half hard, Pimientos de Padrón which were very good, Excellent Canitas and seasonal cherries.

WOW! Walking through the pine trees and seeing the white sand and crystal blue water was magical. The sand sparkles here due to the shells and is so soft. This is a nudist beach but there is no issue if you want to keep your clothes on. With the spanish having a very open attitude to nudism on beaches I do feel it could make them feel awkward being nude if tourists do not do so too and have heard this summer this has become the case. So, look around, no one cares if you are naked, enjoy the sun on your skin :)

This beach is awesome, 7 km of fine sand with very few people around, allowing you to enjoy this magnificent part of the Galician coast.
Water is quite cold for a bath

More than the beach itself, what I truly recommend is walk (or run) all along the promenade, starting from here (in front of the mythic stadium) all the way to the marina., crossing the Tower of Hercules and its surroundings. A challenge, but worth trying

Absolutely stunning beach. Crystal clear water with plenty to see if snorkelling. Kayak and paddle board hire. Lovely bars set in amongst coastal forest. Takes the laidback vibe of Galicia to its max.

The beach is glorious. A large cove with clean white sand and clear waters. Toilets at the entrance to the beach are the cleanest I’ve ever seen at a beach resort. Easy to access and park although I’m sure in summer you’d find it more difficult. Very picturesque.

Huge clean family friendly beach. No huge waves. Lifeguards at busy times. Beach cleaned every day. No toilets but plenty of bars and restaurants around the beach.
