What travellers are saying
- AlbertSalichsManresa, Spain9,531 contributionsPont del Diable (literally, Bridge of Devil) is a Roman bridge located in the surroundings of Tarragona, near Mèdol Roman Quarry, in the South of Catalonia. It is a very well preserved aqueduct used for Roman to bring water from mountains to Tarragona. It is a very nice pique-nique spot, because you can go to the bottom side, full of trees (really little forest) and to the upper side, from where you can cross all aqueduct/bridge and see very beautiful views of the surroundings (except for buildings of Tarragona, which are ugly). A fantastic place to know Roman Period in Tarraco (Tarragona in Roman Era) outside of the city. Also, it is a very recommendable place to come with children and stay during all day doing excursions, walking and learning about the past.

An added bonus is that this site is right on the water which provides picturesque views.Written 4 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- ludorIasi, Romania2,692 contributionsThe cathedral is impressive from the very first look as is seating on the highest point of the hill at the end of some spectacular staircases, in the heart of the old town. However, the interior is even more imposing and there are plenty of interesting things to see. It definitely worth the entrance fee and your time.Written 13 November 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Mary A6 contributionsExtremely beautiful, I went at sunset with friends and it was 100% worth it. Free, easy to access and has great sights.Written 23 January 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- ludorIasi, Romania2,692 contributionsBeautiful area, with narrow cobbled streets, very nice old buildings and ruins. Definitely a must visit in Tarragona.Written 13 November 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- HippoSlippersBarcelona, Spain90 contributionsThis site is a little smaller but it's still really cool to imagine the chariots racing. It's right above the amphitheater so don't miss it if you are already there. You can walk around and see most of it without doing the tour.Written 27 September 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Kevin HZurich, Switzerland1,120 contributionsWe very much enjoyed our stroll down and then back up the Ramblas Nova, a wide avenue lined with shops and cafes. Our preferred route was to stay on the centre island in the middle of the avenue.Written 26 August 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- HippoSlippersBarcelona, Spain90 contributionsWorth doing for sure. The info panels are informative and the views of the mountains are great (although hard to get a good picture of... Just enjoy). If you come in by train and are doing all the must-do things, do this before going to the cathedral. You go uphill and at the end you just have to keep to the right to get to the Cathedral. If you do the Cathedral first, you will end up walking up hill twice (speaking from experience...).Written 27 September 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- ludorIasi, Romania2,692 contributionsEven in November, seems a great place for taking sun and bathing (if you dare). Anyway, walking along the sea and watching the surfers is very enjoyable.Written 13 November 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Ian T68 contributionsvisted old roman walls of the city , its a gate that's still in use today. Its a nice photo opportunity and then best to move on around the old town. A walk around the old city is a walk in history. You can see where the Roman Chariots raced. You get a feel of how Romans lived and a walk down the rambla nova to the balco del mediterran the views are wonderfulWritten 20 May 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- BoomtripSwansea, UK26 contributionsVisited in September. Nice beach, sea was warm and clear with few rocks and seaweed. There are some steep steps or alternative slope down to the beach. A beach hut provides snacks including pizza, salads, ice cream and a wide range of drinks including cocktails - I recommend the strawberry daiquiri! There are some water sports available including jet ski, doughnut and banana boat. Sunbeds are available to rent at €5 euro per bed all day and €10 for an umbrella. A great alternative if you weren't up early enough to reserve a sunbed in the local hotels! A few sales people but minimally disruptive.Written 10 September 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Katharina M4 contributionsWe came to Tarragona in January outside the season. Though we were only 3 people our guide Xavi spontaneously decided to give us a full city tour in English. The Tour took about 2,5h and Xavi gave us very diverse an interesting insights. Through the entire tour you could notice how passionate he is about Tarragona and it’s history. We learned a lot and truly enjoyed this tour! We definitely recommend it to anyone!Written 4 January 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- AlenaMF5 contributionsSecond time kayaking with this company. Amongst all the options that they offer, we chose the sunset kayak excursion with a group of friends, kayaking for 3 hours. Good timing and beautiful landscape, seeing 3 different beaches from offshore and stopping in two of them for a break, swim or snack.
Very attentive, helpful and qualified instructor that explained all the tips and tricks to sail in proper conditions, and adapted the excursion depending on the skills and needs of our group.
Highly recommended!Written 14 July 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - EncantadaNYCNYC12 contributionsI rode the Ruta Verde, and Ester communicated clearly with me via email in advance and made an appointment at a wonderful biodynamic bodega. Albert was patient as he showed me how to use the ebike and GPS, and he started me off on the route and intercepted me at one point to show me a shortcut when I was running late for my appointment.
The scenery on the ride was gorgeous, and the e-bike made the steep hills easily manageable. You can still get exercise — you just won’t exert yourself dangerously in the heat. It also helped when I carried back a bottle of cava from the lovely bodega. Next time, I’ll make sure I can carry two.
If you are thinking of taking one of Bikemotions tours — do not hesitate. The experience is excellent. I hope to do another tour with them someday.Written 13 July 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
