This was my second visit to the aqueduct & I was looking forward to sharing it with my group of extended family. I set up a guided tour 2 months ahead of time with the official guide service, only to have them be a no-show on the day/time agreed for the tour. I called the tour operator who said I was supposed to remind him via email. Anyway, we still walked the aqueduct & it’s worth a trip, even without a guided tour.

Located right on sea front. Spectacular back drop. Good for an explore. Nice gardens above and a lift down from street level.

Huge monument to celebrate a local festival. Great art work, figures are life size too. On the Ramblas.

Extremely beautiful, I went at sunset with friends and it was 100% worth it. Free, easy to access and has great sights.

Beautiful area, with narrow cobbled streets, very nice old buildings and ruins. Definitely a must visit in Tarragona.

This site is a little smaller but it's still really cool to imagine the chariots racing. It's right above the amphitheater so don't miss it if you are already there. You can walk around and see most of it without doing the tour.

The building is very nice and there are many stalls for fresh food (fish, meat, vegetables, etc.). There are also several places selling amazing cooked food, to take home or to eat on the tables around. And, if these are not enough, there is also a big Mercadona supermarket.

We very much enjoyed our stroll down and then back up the Ramblas Nova, a wide avenue lined with shops and cafes. Our preferred route was to stay on the centre island in the middle of the avenue.

Worth doing for sure. The info panels are informative and the views of the mountains are great (although hard to get a good picture of... Just enjoy). If you come in by train and are doing all the must-do things, do this before going to the cathedral. You go uphill and at the end you just have to keep to the right to get to the Cathedral. If you do the Cathedral first, you will end up walking up hill twice (speaking from experience...).

El Serrallo is a nice fishing area in Tarragon and it’s to the right of the port. Nice feel to it and worth a visit and walk around.

Even in November, seems a great place for taking sun and bathing (if you dare). Anyway, walking along the sea and watching the surfers is very enjoyable.

Located within Casco Antiguo is this lovely street with an entire building covered in a mural. It makes for some great photo opportunities. There are some interesting Roman ruins nearby as well.

Very good beach located on the north eastern edge of Tarragona. Well worth visiting if you are looking for a less popular beach.

This beach is a pleasant enough beach in Tarragona. Short walk from the rail station/town centre. Partly overlooked by amphitheater.

The beach itself was clean and cared for. It was low season and all the facilities plus the catering outlet were closed. There were showers available to rinse the salt water/sand off after a swim.

Depending which part of the beach you are on the background cityscape isn't the best, but it's nice enough. Didn't notice all the graffiti mentioned by previous reviewers.

visted old roman walls of the city , its a gate that's still in use today. Its a nice photo opportunity and then best to move on around the old town. A walk around the old city is a walk in history. You can see where the Roman Chariots raced. You get a feel of how Romans lived and a walk down the rambla nova to the balco del mediterran the views are wonderful
