I joined this tour because I wanted to see the remains of the Roman empire in Tarragona. Our guide was Ana and she gave us an overview of the history of Tarragona. Aside from showing us the remains of the Roman empire, she also brought us into a bodega for some local wine and the oldest shop there where the person-in-charge gave us a short overview of its history including a story of the inscriptions left during the Roman empire on its wall.

We were shown the important Roman infrastructures such as the aqueduct, circus and amphitheater. I like that we did not feel rushed into doing things. We were given 1.5 hours to explore Tarragona which I mostly spent exploring the cathedral. The walk from the cathedral to our meeting place is also quite beautiful.

We proceeded to Sitges at around 13H30 and had lunch there where we spent the rest of the afternoon exploring the place until 16H30. Ana offered to stay until 17H00 but we all agreed to leave earlier. It was good though because it rained and it was getting colder. Anyway, she offered to drive us along the the nice houses in front of the beaches before leaving which we agreed to do.

I wish we stayed longer in Tarragona than in Sitges. I just found the old town of Tarragona more interesting. I appreciate that we have free time to explore the areas that we visited and the meet up points are very central so our group did not have any trouble finding it and we all managed to come on time. There were 8 of us plus Ana and we fit snugly in the van.

I have travelled quite extensively and seen many interesting sites, but this guided tour is truly one of the best I have ever experienced. Bernat’s passion for and great knowledge of the fascinating history of Tarragona and the region is truly inspirational. During the tour you also get a flavor of what contemporary life in this beautiful city can offer. Highly recommended!

We got picked up from our hotel by our tour guide, Arnau. He was great at showing us around, telling us a lot about the history of Taraggona. We got to see a lot of Roman ruins and walk on the remains of Aqueduct. Sadly Amphitheatre and Circus was closed down for renovations but we still got to see it from the outside. Our guide pointed out a few good restaurant spots to eat at during our free time. Overall we had a great time. I would definitely come back when the renovations are complete to walk inside the ruins.

Javi (spelling?) was a magnificent tour guide and taught us so much about the beautiful city of Tarragona. The city had so much history to be told and Javi knew it and told it with a kind passion. He also went out of his way to accommodate my 2 friend's and I, even though there were no remaining tours for the day. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting.

The whole trip was very interesting. Our guide Vincente was so informative answered all our questions and was very friendly. The day ended with a great late relaxing lunch which we enjoyed with other members of the group.Would highly recommend this tour, lots of walking but no problem if your fit.

My husabnd and I really really enjoyed a wonderful day tour with pleanty of time for lucnh. We wre sorry we did not stay here in Tarragona instead ogf Barcelona s it was not nearly as busy, much cheaper restaurants/bars, more to see ( from our point of view) , less homelessness and beggars , and the list goes on. Lots to see on way there and it was a real gem of an experience. Antonio our guide was very informative and helpful but was untidy and poorly presented which was a little disappointing.
