Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- IAN DWigan, UK26,172 contributionsThe Pont de les Peixateries Velles, also known as the Eiffel Bridge (Pont de Ferro), is a historic bridge located in the city of Girona, Catalonia, Spain. This bridge is noteworthy for its architectural and engineering significance, as it was designed by none other than Gustave Eiffel, the same engineer who famously designed the Eiffel Tower in Paris.
The Pont de les Peixateries Velles is an iron bridge, featuring an intricate lattice-work design that is characteristic of many structures designed by Gustave Eiffel. The bridge's design is both functional and aesthetically pleasing. It was constructed in 1876 during a period of significant urban development in Girona. The bridge was originally intended for pedestrians and vehicles. It is painted a distinctive red color, which is one of its most recognizable features.
The Pont de les Peixateries Velles offers excellent views of the colorful houses along the riverbanks and is a popular spot for tourists to take photographs of Girona's picturesque scenery.Written 3 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It looked lovely against the deep azure of the sky with a church spire beyond.Written 16 March 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
