We had a lovely walking tour of old town Girona and visited the church. Then a short drive to a really nice seaside village for lunch. Very nice day spent in the countryside . - Jody K1 contributionWe took a private day tour with Adrian, he was very imformative and gave us a great background on the history of Girona and also a wonderful walking tour of Girona, then onto Costa Brava for sightseeing and a lovely lunch right on the ocean plus a stop at Figueres Museum. A comfortable mercedes van was supplied with complimentary water also. He was always explaining the history, social fabric and hidden wonders of these beautiful towns. Our tour was in early April and the weather was perfect at 20 degrees Celsius. The canola fields were all in flower and together with the olive tree plantations and diverse natural vegetation the drive was all the more enchanting to these breathtaking towns. - Trishm51962Paris, KY28 contributionsThe Palamós shore excursion was absolutely wonderful. Aurora was PERFECT for us as a tour guide.
She picked us up at the cruise port and away we went. She told us so many things about the towns we drove thru, we even stopped and bought churros, potato chips, and a coffee so one point.
Then on to Girona…absolutely a breathtaking medieval town. Again, we were told so many wonderful stories.
At the Dalí museum it was very interesting and I learned several things that I did not already know.
We had lunch near the museum at an outside cafe, we had tapas! Of course. It was one of the BEST days of the cruise and again, Aurora was delightful if ever way.

Miguel was incredibly knowledgeable and engaging-and extremely passionate about the topic. We are pretty well informed about Jewish history and we learned a ton. Even our children were engaged.

He provided some details about barcelona on our way out of town which was nice. He took right to our Girona tour guide, Gerard, who was so awesome. He told us so much about the city, about its past and its present and its many traditions. We saw where game of thrones was filmed and Gerard led us right back to our driver. Honestly we napped on the ride to costa brava but once there he dropped us off right at the water near shopping and food. The atmosphere of this gorgeous coastal town makes you want to never leave. We got caught in an afternoon rain storm but Javier came to the rescue to pick us up early. Make sure to note that some stores close for siesta. The ride back to the hotel we napped again. She made sure to move us along so that we could see as much of the beautiful city of Girona as possible, but gave us time to view sites at our own pace. The guided tour of Girona Pals and Costa Brava were great and included some free time as well. The sights were amazing. We enjoyed a lovely seaside lunch with new friends from the tour. He is very knowledgeable, he had a very deep, extensive knowledge of every aspect of the region. He grew up in Girona so it was a very personal tour.
