Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

If you’re in Barcelona, this is an absolute must-visit. The sheer amount of detail in the architecture is astounding, and every glance reveals something new to admire. We had a private guide who was fantastic, offering deep insights and pointing out intricate details we might have missed. While not essential, having a guide definitely enriches an already unforgettable experience.

Just wanted to let people know that this Casa looks amazing from the outside at night. It is bathed in a golden glow. At the top there is a dragon and the windows are the skulls of it's victims. No cost to see this from the outside, on the street. A "must see!"

We should have known how amazing this area is, but somehow didn't realize it, and ended up there by accident! It's a fascinating mix of medieval streets and cool modern businesses, but the real attraction for us was the ancient character of the neighborhood. Any random strolling here is rewarding.

A beautiful and interesting park as expected. I would recommend a tour to absorb as much details as possible. The long bench is impressive in person with some great view points of the park and the surrounding city. Unfortunately much of it was under construction including the infamous Dragon stairway. I would still really recommend seeing it for yourself.

Mercat de La Boqueria has gone the way most famous food markets have. You are less likely to see true market vendors. Most of the vendors are now selling food souvenirs. There are other vendors who sell dishes to eat, or you can sit down for a drink and tapas. The place was crowded with tourists, even in February

This is probably the most impressive of all the attractions we visited in Barcelona. The architecture, the colours, the design are all quite spectacular. The staff were also helpful and friendly.

Since this was the first stop on our tour (WithLocals - Sagrada Familia and Casa Mila Tour: Light, Color & Architecture with Pili, which was excellent, by the way), we did not include a visit to the interior. Having said that, the house itself is impressive from the outside. Since you’ll be in the area for Botllo, it is worth taking some time to admire “The Stone Quarry."

Basílica de Santa Maria del Mar is a huge building. It was built around the 14th century. The architecture is typical of this sort of church. It looks quite majestic in some ways. It is quite stunning.

The Magic Fountain is indeed pure magic, when it works! We were lucky enough to see it in its full glory and were absolutely thrilled. The volume of water is astounding and the music and whole performance is so exhilarating.

We took the metro to Passeig de Gracia, it was very easy to navigate! We spent the day shopping and exploring the city. Some of the luxury store had lines to enter their stores, and some you just walked in. Overall we had a great time in the city.

So much to see and experience as one wanders along Las Ramblas. Many stalls selling everything one can imagine. Must be aware of hustlers! Much construction happening making the walk a little hazardous.

We had a lovely time here but it is VERY crowded. You get a timed entrance ticket but it didn't seem to matter. We had to wait 30 minutes to enter the museum. But, the store was fantastic as wad the VR experience and the robokeeper. Worth a visit, but just be prepared for lines and a lot of crowds. Give yourself 2+ hours here.

The cathedral is well worth visiting. The gothic architecture, both inside and out is quite stunning. Tickets can be bought online before visiting or when you arrive on site.

My husband and I visited the Picasso Museum on a Sunday afternoon in mid-March. The signs for the building are subtle and I kept thinking the Montmarte exhibition signs were for a different museum. Our two adult tickets were €30 and we decided against buying the audiguides. We enjoy art but aren't huge fans of modern art, but Picasso is so well-known it seemed a good visit. And it had started raining.

The Montmarte exhibition was right off the main stairs and had historical objects, paintings, and sketches of Picasso and his contemporaries in Montmarte, Paris in the late 1880s. We found a few good pieces there.

The main Picasso area graduated from his early sketches to the more oddball work he's most known for. The rooms were spacious with benches. We also saw some of Picasso's works with ceramics and one video of the artist himself working on a large canvas.

The whole museum took us less than an hour and we looked at nearly every piece. There are bathrooms and a cafe back downstairs, next to the spacious and expensive gift shop.

I'd say this is the place to come for views of Barcelona, much better for views than Park Guell. It's absolutely huge and there are a lot of roads going through it. We headed for the cable car which we took up to the castle. We enjoyed the cable car but it's a fairly short ride and cost 60 euros for 4 of us which we thought was quite expensive. Consequently we didn't go into the castle at the top as that would have been about another 45 euros.

The views over the sea and the city are incredible though, well worth a visit.
