Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Beautiful structure with fascinating history! Photographer's playground! Amazing light, color & shapes. Security is strict and the walk down from the roof is long (~400 stairs) after an elevator ride up. Definitely worth it to see the colorful mosaics up close. Be sure to visit when in Barcelona!

We decided at the last minute to visit and got lucky by joining the last guided tour of the day.

It started with a movie in the Petit Palau. We then walked into the original building to visit the foyer. However a private event precluded us from entering and fully seeing it.

We climbed the grand staircase and then entered the amazing concert hall. The central skylight up above was truly a sight to see. Even with the storm clouds outside it still let in a lot of light. The decor was modernism that also incorporated musical muses and so glad we could see a lot of it up close. We were also allowed to walk on stage as our guide continued the tour and then setup for a demonstration of the massive organ. The sound was beautiful and hopefully we can come back to enjoy an actual concert.

The Lluis Millet Hall was one floor above the concert hall and contained a special art exhibit. Outside was the balcony where many instagrammable photos were taken with the beautiful mosaic columns.

We finished the tour on the balcony over looking the concert hall which was a great perspective to see its entirety. We did find the seats not very comfortable though!

Outside the fascade of the Palau was also a must see including the statues of many famous composers. It was not as easy to see all the details due to the surrounding buildings and tight street. Our guide used the 2nd floor balcony to point out details in the reflections to the opposite building’s windows.

This should be a must see when in Barcelona. Well worth the time to see this UNESCO designated building.

Well worth a visit just bear in mind there is a lot of walking and steps to navigate. Went on Wednesday and although read about the queues was really surprised to see no waiting in line at the entrance. Very interesting place to visit. Easily spend 2-3 wondering around. Some beautiful architecture to see. Would definitely recommend

A nice little Market with local delicacies. Very colourful, vibrant and quite good to get you in the mood for a Barcelona holiday early into the trip. Probably not the best of places for ardent vegetarians as there are a lot of carcasses and cuts on show. Still a great place to go For the atmosphere. Do try the healthy smoothies, which are wonderful.

This cathedral is slightly out of the way compared to the other major tourist sites, but it's so so so so worth it. Hands down, this was actually my favorite one in the city (caveat that this is if you're a fan of gothic architecture). There is a grandeur and a peacefulness that comes through with this cathedral that's incomparable to all the other ones I visited in Barcelona. Also, I loved that there is more freedom with climbing up to the terraces than I've experienced at other cathedrals - you're given instructions on where the stairs are located, but you can go at your own time and your own pace. And in my case, I actually went up more than once, the experience and view from the top was so memorable. There's a wonderful viewing platform that's been set up at the top, with views of the sea.

There are so many places to shop and eat here. The Casa Batillo and Casa Mila are here on the Passeig. Come to shop for all the luxury goods and see the sights. Bring a luggage with you to place your bags into though… and take a taxi back to your hotel if you shop… although relatively safe, be aware of your surroundings at all times.

Worth a visit, it has interesting architecture in the main entry, the attic was amazing, and of course the roof with the elaborate chimneys is a treat!

Possibly one of my favourite Gaudi properties. Every surface was so beautifully decorated. The audio guide was very good. I would recommend this museum.

Inside and out this museum is a feast for the eyes.
If you dont want to pay, wait until 3 pm on saturday when entree is free.
There is enough to do around the immediate area to kill a few hours.
Be prepared to climb, its VERY far up and sometimes not all the escalators work, but once youre inside its more than worth it.
They close early, 6pm except during May-Sept., and start the rooms evac at 5:45, warning, even the bathrooms are inaccessible once they start closing procedures.

We attended one night, hoping that we could enjoy the spectacular view of the fountain and the city. Sadly, the fountain was turned off, I guess because of the winter months. We were still able to enjoy some rather spectacular views down into Barcelona, which made the trip worthwhile. Just a shame that the fountain was not on at the time. Do make sure you go to the very top of the steps/escalators.

This place is amazing! A huge building with umpteen exhibits to suit all ages. The museum has a dinosaur section with some fantastic skeletons, a wildlife area recreating a rainforest with fish/birds/reptiles/mammals and flora. Other areas include the evolution of man, how the human brain and body works and tens of interactive displays from Newton's cradles to sound waves to how volcanoes form. We didn't go in the planetarium as didn't realise it was extra €6 each. The cafe was reasonably priced. The only negative was the half hour queue to pay and the walk up the steep hill to get there (there is a tram/bus though). We spent about 4 hours there and still didn't see it all.

Lovely park to wander around and have lunch in. There are boats on the pond you can go in and some very interesting monuments and cool info about Gaudi and his participation in the parl creation.

This building was formerly a hospital until 2009 and built between 1901 and 1930.

The new hospital is built beside this building.

The architecure is unique and amazing Art Nouveau) and has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1997.

It contains 12 pavilions connected through underground galleries.

It really is a historical and architectural masterpiece and offers offers workspace to high-profile social organizations such as the WHO, Banco Farmacéutico, Barcelona Health Hub, EMEA, UN-HABITAT and more.
