Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Possibly one of my favourite Gaudi properties. Every surface was so beautifully decorated. The audio guide was very good. I would recommend this museum.

Came on first Sunday of the month for free (reserve a time slot 4 days in advance on the website). I got a 10:30am time slot at 10:30am on the Wednesday before).

Upon arriving, it wasn’t clear where to go and I ended up in a line for 20 minutes with people who did not have tickets. So I recommend going around these people and to the right at the front entrance where you’ll be let right in.

This is a vast collection of Picasso’s work with a nicely documented evolution from youth to adult hood.

There was nothing bad about this museum, but nothing standout either. I enjoyed seeing Guernica in Madrid a bit more.

A fine museum, but not a must do in Barcelona unless you are a true Picasso fan.

Great museum on Joan Miro and his work, with stunning views of the city. We were fortunate to see a Miro and Picasso retrospective, which was fantastic

First, I was very critical of the Caixa Forum in Barcelona, but when we arrived it convinced me to be a super decision!

Given the supreme association of Barcelona with Catalan Modernism, looked forward to seeing how this is presented here.

But regrettably found that it was closed. A staff woman in next-door shop thought it is closed for a duration, but couldn’t verify that.

We had a lovely visit and really enjoyed it. Sadly, this gem museum of talented but mostly little known artists does not seem to get the attention it deserves. We were the only ones there on a beautiful Saturday afternoon. That is tragic. Support the arts!

In an extraordinary building, sleek and modern, interesting exhibitions were underway.

Works by Bouchra Khalili a Moroccan born artist comprise aspects of anti-colonial resistance and solidarity.

Pieces by two Columbian artists are here. María Teresa Hincapié has a major display of oeuvre. In Silence but Together is a large composition by Maria Jose Arjona.

Elena del Rivero's Letters to the Mother is an absorbing and striking creation.

So pleased that we were staying not far away and decided to go and see the temporary exhibition of photography by Paolo Gasparini. A friendly and warm welcome from all that we had contact with at this great exhibition space, and we both found the exhibition revealing, stunning as well as impacting and moving. In our view the exhibition is very, very well curated and a visit is highly recommended.

My husband and I bought the Articket BCN, this is one of the places that are included with this pass. We went after seeing the overcrowded Casa Batllo, it was a wonderful peaceful experience. It is very close to the Casa Batllo.
We are new to seeing Antonio Tapies Works, but enjoyed trying to figure them out. There was a film in the auditorium that showed him doing a piece, with an excellent pictorial explanation of where he got his ideas and then how it transformed onto the canvas. Our favorite piece was in the lower level. It was a photography show about an incredible endeavor to create a self sustaining environment in the middle east desert. It is in a large room with the screen filling one entire wall. There are cushions for one to sit on and just take in the show. It does help to understand what you are seeing, if you read the information, which is presented in the foyer of this hall.

Went to see the immersive Tutankhamen exhibition. I use a wheelchair. The accessible entrance was closed. There is no parking close by.

I had understood it was virtual. And some of the concepts were good and very effective.

The “cube” room, with video presentations on all four walls and the ceiling and floor was amazing. There were sub titles in English as well as Castilian and Catalan. The static displays were, however, only in Spanish and Catalan, which stretched my vocabulary.

However the 2, 3D, audiovisual rooms with head sets were a let down. The first left me frightened. There were other people wandering around and although their position was shown by numbered avatars I didn’t feel safe as I wasn’t in their line of vision seated in my chair.

The second one left me with feelings of severe motion sickness.

There are no toilet facilities in the reception area. The are dotted around the visit. The disabled one is hidden and not signed.
