We ended up loving the entire 2 hour tour and left feeling exhilarated that we’d accomplished a new skill. My son and I only had really one day to explore Barcelona and so we opted for this tour. We really feel like we got to see all the best of the city with Carlos this way. His knowledge of the city and especially the Sagrada Familia cathedral are so impressive! I really cannot recommend this tour highly enough! Starting at the Arc De Triomf, we had a great tour of the city stopping at La Sagrada Familia and seeing other Gaudi buildings, the Olympic Village, the zoo, shopping and dining areas and the beach. We are over sixty but felt perfectly safe on the Segway. We covered a good distance and Oriol (our guide) was really helpful. He was very educational when we stopped and included our 11 year old daughter in the conversations. He was very nice and helped us a lot. He also took some photos for us. We went around port Olympic and the Ciutadella park. It was our first time and with 2 children, we were naturally very nervous however, Ronnie treated us all with patience, attentiveness throughout ensuring that we were all safe and feeling comfortable and confident. The 3-hour tour just wasn’t enough and easily could have done the whole day on that funtastic machine.
Touring Barcelona on a Segway was amazing, exciting, and thrilling experience and for sure will be calling on Ronnie for next time we return to Barcelona. The vendor was actually very courteous, as we missed the original meeting due to a taxi issue and they were willing to reschedule for the next day.
Anton trained us all on how to use the segways - which was actually very easy and intuitive (after a couple of minutes).
Next we went down to one side of the boardwalk, then to the other side, then across multiple locations in the city. Anton explained historical, cultural, and architectural topics in a very interesting way and had no problem answering our follow up questions.
We stopped at multiple locations to take photos.
