- Curiosity Killed the CatLos Angeles, CA13 contributionsI stayed on the border of El Ravel and La Rambla/ El Born at Hotel Niu Barcelona. It was a good place to stay. The staff, price, and location were all great. I understand what people are saying about the neighborhood. You need some street smarts to stay here. Walk on main streets, and be wathchful. I am a woman and travelled alone and had no trouble, but then I also lived in the Lower East Side, NYC in the 80s, so I'm careful. I didn't see any trouble, but I also wasn't out too late. Midnight or so. - Neil KLiverpool, UK617,390 contributionsI found Riera Baixa Street a rather boring street to visit,if your on holiday and your into your retail therapy there are some boutique and vintage cloth shops here,they looked busy but of i have no interest at all in shopping while on holiday, that said the architecture here is quite good,some great examples of Gothic style architecture but I wouldn't go out of my way to go to this street.

The owner is such a sweetheart and very dedicated to his art. - lagadishiBarcelona14 contributionsSat on a corner of the loveliest part of the Raval, you'll find a shop with really lovely products for your home, gifts, etc. Ranging from small times of furniture and lamps, pretty candle holders or tiny vases, to cool bags and pouches, you'll find something for yourself or your loved ones, colleagues or friends. Great as souvenir or for your home. Original and fashionable items –bags, jackets, hats, etc—designed and handmade by themselves in Barcelona. They have wonders like leather shawls in incredible colors: red, blue, fuchsia...
