Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

- BlueBassBoatCincinnati, OH110 contributionsThe volcanic dirt road to Cofete is very long and somewhat dangerous as it’s very narrow and without any guardrails. Most car rental companies will not insure the car to be driven on the unpaved road to Cofete.
Once you’ve reached the pass, and begin the drive down to the beach, it’s the most spectacular thing your eyes will ever see. The beach is absolutely stunning with the volcanic mountains in the backdrop. The surf is incredibly strong and dangerous to go past waist deep, but nothing beats the golden sand and isolation of this epic beach.Written 8 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Really lovely stretch of beach with many a hotel and apartment block towards the back of the beach. Found a couple of small shopping centres but couldnt locate lots of bars and restaurants. I'm guessing its a more all-inclusive crowd that enjoy the resort. It was nice for a couple of hours with the beach really being the star.Written 17 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - lucilasticSouth West England, UK4,117 contributionsGreat beach never crowded and safe swimming. Some naturists at the northern end and you can also find a beach to yourself here.
The new beach bar cafe was a huge dis’s appointment after the excellent torinos that was there before. Our drink’s portions for coffee and wine were tiny.Written 28 April 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews. - Shaun LClanfield, UK2,855 contributionsFirst time visit to this part of Sotavento beach which by way of a location pinpoint is just by the large Melia Fuerteventura hotel. Reached from the FV2 turning just after Costa Calma there is a tarmac road leading to dusty car park and a further dirt track to a closer beach car park if you fancy the offroad drive. The views are stunning with a lagoon, streams, sandy mountains and miles and miles of pure sand. Popular with water sports enthusiasts there is plenty of room for everyone! Worth visiting even if just to admire the view and the surrounding landscape.Written 17 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The biggest wow from our holiday this week is the beach 🏖 𝐈𝐓 𝐈𝐒 𝐔𝐍𝐁𝐄𝐋𝐈𝐄𝐕𝐀𝐁𝐋𝐄!!! White sand, crystal clear turquoise water, comfortable sun loungers - with a perfect sea breeze. We've genuinely just spent every day chilling out and relaxing on this beautiful, idyllic beach. Comfortable sun loungers, not crowded, no noisy groups, warm waters - I genuinely would come back to Morro Jable just for this beach!Written 5 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The hotel was very clean, very stylish , comfy bed and the staff were great. Fabulous restaurant, coffee shop, pool bar, gym, swimming pools, and entertainment. The beaches had lovely golden sand and rocky coves. We loved going in the sea and looking round the fish in the coves. We were only there for a week in October and it was amazingly hot. Best holiday we have had in years. Thank you to all the staff who work there we absolutely loved our holiday. - nirelandfuntimesN. Ireland52 contributionsFabulous beach. Like carribean. Sun loungers 9 euros. Only one small cabin for drinks etc. Con...no toilets. Nudist area at far end. - Kieran24 contributionsWith little to do on the island for small children we decided to take the trip to Popcorn Beach just outside of Correlajo.
The road is very dangerous as it's just cut into the countryside with the majority just small stones compacted but there are some tarmac areas on the way. Just beware if not confident driving.
The restaurant on the beach itself has closed down and has been for a while it seems.
The beach is a spectacular place to check out the ocean between Fuerteventura and Lanzarote. Along with the popcorn made rocks which have created this marvel on the island.
Well worth a trip even if just for 30 minutes to take it in.Written 4 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Kathleen FDerby, UK3 contributionsWe are one week into a two week holiday and I can’t praise this hotel enough, spotlessly clean everywhere, all staff from cleaners to reception staff are all amazing . We are staying in a junior suite and it is amazing, the cleaners clear up after us and leave the suite as it was when we arrived, we are very impressed with everything about this hotel, the food is very good, something for everyone’s tastes, thank you Hotel Esmeralda for a fantastic stay, mr and Mrs FarnsworthWritten 26 May 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Shaun LClanfield, UK2,855 contributionsPlaya de La Concha at El Cotillo is one of our favourite beaches on the island. Sometimes backed by a lagoon it is a sheltered bay for swimming even if the waves out to sea are rough and also now has a lifeguard presence. Plenty of car parking, a small beach bar and toilet facilities mean you have everything for a good few hours in the sun. Pictures though describe it better than words can.Written 17 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - colinwiggsLondon, UK198 contributionsThe beach is excellant, good well cleaned toilet facilities, small bar for drinks and ice creams, very spacious area with plenty of sunbeds very umbrellas, and a short 10-15 minute walk round the coast and you can see the Barbary Ground Squirrels or the Sea Lions before you get that far.Written 19 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Arnaud de KlerkBavel, The Netherlands1,477 contributionsA very nice bounty beach. White sand, blue waters. You can walk into the sea for quite a bit without getting into the water to deep. Nice waves (not to big).
There are not (m)any facilities, so keep that in mind.Written 18 April 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
