Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

For so very long, we have followed the beautiful Gaudi cathedral's development and maturity. Here it is, July 2022, and we are back but from a different perspective.

Up on the lethally high roof of the Basilica de Santa Maria del Mar (which we mistakenly climbed), the views were awesome but none so incredible as the progress on the Sagrada Familia. Why is this not done yet? It has been an eternity and then some. But it inches closer.

It should be all over but for the eternally long construction of the peaks. No one will see this from the ground. Views of the construction are best seen from this viewpoint.

But the Sagrada Familia is a beauty and will be completed in our lifetimes (we can only hope).

On the advice of a friend, we purchased tickets to go for the Magic Nights tour with the rooftop concert and it was absolutely amazing! The whole experience is unique, but even better ending with a nighttime concert on the roof. It was worth the extra few bucks for the gold tier in my opinion.

After seeing and hearing so much about it, it was sensational to finally be there. I spent a day and a half there exploring the palaces and castles. If you get the chance do it.

The Plaza de Espana is a wonderful place to wander around during the day, watch a street flamenco performance, or just enjoy the water and people-watch. There are always a lot of tourists, but they are there for a reason - the architecture and art is amazing and definitely worth a visit.

The wife and I had a really fun time on our tour through this area. So much so that we came back to wander it on our own! Go see the 1st-3rd century Roman walls and aqueducts! Get some churros and Nutella while perusing the plethora of shops on the tight and winding streets!

Amazing inside, takes your breath away at the scale of the building. Moves through the centuries in architecture. The arches are vast, lots to see in here.

I've never seen another palace like it. As a functioning palace its apparently all maintained in near perfect working order and it's incredible from one room to the next, the design, the art, the furnture, sculpture, china. It's amazing. Apparently its one of the top three European palaces.

LovelyCathedral and every corner you turn has the wow factor. Make sure you get an audio guide
    Good value ticket
We brought a combined Giralda Tower ticket - the Tower has slopes not steps to get to the top but still a hard climb.

Really enjoyed the players tour. It’s a little pricey but it’s an access all areas tour. Really enjoyed it and our guide was fab. Pictures at the end and the gift bag with the water bottle was a nice included touch.

The magic fountains are best viewed at night when they dance to music. The show lasts well over an hour and it is free. Need to get there early though for best views.

On our trip to Palma de Mallorca we of course went to the Cathedral, as I had not seen it in 1974.
But we didn't get to see it inside, as there was a huge queue of people to buy a ticket, and we didn't feel like standing in line for more than 30 minutes, so we just going to eat something in the neighborhood, and it went very well, better than standing in a traffic jam. For the people who are visiting Palma by car, the best solution is to park the car in the unde- (200 meters).rground garage just in front of the Catedral, so you have just to cross the bridge
