What travellers are saying
- jotaveSao Paulo, SP5 contributionsI visited the zoo in the beginning of April 2022. I loved every aspect of the visit. The animals seem to be extremely happy, we could see many of them. The seals are extremely playful, and definitely one of the highlights. I also like the fact that the zoo has real size replicas of dinosaurs. The staff is amazing, the food service is great.
The zoo is huge, so my suggestion is to select what you are more interested in seeing.
I am only a bit concerned because it seems there will be an attraction with tamed animals, which to me defeat the purpose of a zoo. Particularly this one, where we can see there is a real consideration with the animal wellbeing.Written 2 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Oliver WidengrenFrankfurt, Germany102 contributionsThis impressive colossal monument is definitely worth a visit. The entrance fee for adults is 10€ which allows you to go all the way to the top of it after climbing about 370 stairs, considering you take the elevator up the first 3 or 4 floors. Without the elevator it's around 500 stairs.
Note that the snail stairs all the way up are quite narrow at certains times and some might find it claustrophobic. There are some small areas to stop and catch your breath which is the only reason why I made it up.
The interior of this unusual monument looks like something taken out of Lord Of The Rings, quite amazing really.
There is also a nearby bistro on the outside not too far from the ticket shop.Written 26 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - FOL-1003Berlin, Germany1,727 contributions.... - mma536MN150 contributionsThe tower is a good way to get an overview of Leipzig. It was inexpensive; cash only. There are signs on the railings telling you what the view is you are looking at, although a couple of the signs needed repair.Written 4 February 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- KyFlynnMunich, Germany1,744 contributionsThe Leipzig main station is really spacious. The architecture is truly interesting and there are a lot of shops and dining options. I personally also really like the Starbucks there, mostly due to the room it's in, wich is truly stunning!Written 18 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Louise BNewcastke upon tyne66 contributionsExcellent museum starkly detailing the activities of the stasi. Plenty of exhibits. There’s an English audioguide which is generally informative but can’t really in fairness adequately cover all of the exhibits of interest. Defo worth a visit though and I like that they have kept the original interior too.Written 27 February 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.

- 832vgsNew Delhi, India1,299 contributionsSt. Nicholas Church is one of the most historical churches of Leipzig ranging for the period from 12th century and it was turned into a Gothic Hall Church in the 17th Century. The Church is named after St. Nicholas, patron of travelers and merchants. It also gained importance during the peaceful revolution with people gathering there from 1989 to 1991. It is vast inside with capacity of over 1400 seats. Its magnificent architecture, beautiful interiors and peaceful environment leaves every visitor impressed.Written 28 March 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.

- Helene JCopenhagen, Denmark37 contributionsWe really enjoyed our trip here, we decided to go before we caught our train home (HBF is super close to the museum). There is a lot of information so give yourself at least 2 hours. I don't speak German so the English translation was helpful, but not everything is translated. Recommended!Written 26 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- BartolomeoRome, Italy132 contributionsAbsolutely fabulous place in the city of Leipzig and definitely my favourite place... especially for hanging around with friends. - Fabio DiglioValencia, Spain1,327 contributionsOn the pedestrian and central Grimmaische Straße, you will find also the entrance to the charming Mädlerpassage.Â
Originally intended to connect merchants' houses and shops, these covered alleyways were meant to protect tradesmen from the weather and gradually became the elegant shopping arcades they are today.Written 19 December 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - DaleCheshire140 contributionsThis museum is a masterclass in how to construct a museum (and most in Germany are). Mendelssohn's house has been furnished, by and large, just how it was in the composer's day. There's a beautiful garden, too, welcoming staff and a tranquil atmosphere. A fully comprehensive monument to Mendelssohn, his wife and his sister. There is a room where you can 'conduct' some of his pieces and 'control' the 'orchestra', a room where you can listen to all of Mendelssohn's music and a garden house with a current temporary exhibition on Beethoven, with several of his pieces to listen to.Written 22 March 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
