Currently has an exhibition on Renoir and Rococo, which you really shouldn't miss. Art over 2 floors and many centuries. It's got paintings by very well known and not so well known artists. Only drawback is the restaurant is not very friendly, and also very expensive.

Long que when we arrived on a Saturday morning but the wait of around 45 mins wasn't too bad as after taking the lift to the top and a few flights of stairs the views of the city are well worth it.
Top too busy at the top so plenty of opportunities to take photos of the whole city.

This has the picture post card attributes of Rothenberg ob der Tauber. And just like RodT you need to get the early before the tourists.
If you have the time try take in the Kaiser’s Saal. If you have the opportunity, visit the Dom (Cathedral) a couple of blocks east of the Romer. You will enhance your visit to the Dom if you do a little pre reading. The couple of times we have been there not much information is provided.

We had an interesting visit to the market. It was relatively close to the Christmas market. There was a mixture of local people and tourists. Since we were just day visitors we did not purchase anything though we thought about it with each booth that we passed. The hallways were quite narrow so I can imagine how crowded it must get during the summer. We really enjoyed the English Market in Cork and this is in the same flavor though not as many options or places to eat. If you have some free time and want to see where the locals shop, spend some time and no doubt money visiting. Enjoy.

This is located near to Romer square, but differs from Old Nicholas Church. Very beautiful and lovely music too. High ceiling and carving around the church. Was free to visit and nice to say a prayer and light a candle (for a nice donation).

Our 2 children (2 and 5) really enjoyed this museum. We we transiting through Frankfurt to Namibia from Orlando, FL and were able to come to this museum twice (our layovers were about 10-12 hours each). We took the train from the airport to the main train station in Frankfurt and walked about a mile to this museum. The museum has some unique exhibits, and has a great collection of birds. The museum could improve by adding more written translations in English. Although it may not be an issue, the website suggested we book our tickets online so you don't show up and they are at capacity (kids were free, but still need to book the tickets for them).

We have been coming to the Christmas markets in Frankfurt each December for about 10 years. It is absolutely fabulous. Incredibly large spreading across the whole city. These markets get very busy so we try to pick the quieter times around 5-8pm. After 8pm, the market fills and it can get quite difficult with so many people. There are so many wonderful stores with hand crafted items, loads of Christmas decorations and great food stalls. For us, we always find the fried potato pancakes, the rindswurst sausage and the gluh-wein. You pay a small deposit when you buy the gluh-wein which you get when you return the cups. Alternatively, keep the Christmas inspired cup as a souvenir (which we always do.). There is nothing better than a short stay in Frankfurt when the markets are open. Highly recommended.

Always amazing concerts, like the one of Max Raabe and the Palast Orchestra. Great venue, full house, fantastic atmosphere…being able to stand of the balcony of the restaurant after the concert and enjoy a drink with a view - priceless!

This place is very interesting, well set out and extremely engaging. There are hands on displays, memorabilia, interactive sections and a great amount of information about the development of film. We really enjoyed this, our only regret was not giving ourselves enough time as we had to leave for the airport. We were there around 3 hours, the entrance fee was very reasonable

I went to the Kpopflex Festival in this stadium two days ago (15/05). I had a wonderful time and would love to see a concert here again if I had a chance to,

The bridge is very striking. I was on a river cruise and the riverboat was parked near the bridge. There is a great walking path along the river with good views of the bridge.

Our cruise ship was docked nearby and out walking tour took in part of this river walk. Frankfurt is an interesting city that was largely destroyed in WW2.

This place is opened on sundays. I went there on sunday. As you know, there are't many things to do in Germany on sundays. I feel that this is a great free place to spend your sunday afternoon. Though, this can be little difficult to reach by a public transport. I think especially if you like classic cars, you would appreciate the spot. There is a nice restaurant nearby too.

This was the best way for us to experience and get a sense of Frankfurt. A simple self guided walking tour that you can tailor to your inspirations.
