Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The Reichstag Building is an impressive architectural masterpiece in Berlin with a rich history. The large glass dome is a striking feature and the surrounding gardens are beautifully landscaped. It's definitely worth a visit to admire the building and its history.

Must see if you are in Berlin , part of the historic district in Germany, easy to get with public transportation. Iconic place to take pictures.

Explore the memorial above ground but be sure to also visit the museum underneath. It is the personal and family stories that bring the horror of the times into your heart.

I recently visited the Topography of Terror and found it to be an excellent but sad exhibit. The exhibition provides a detailed look into the history of the Nazi regime and their atrocities committed during WWII. The exhibits were well curated and provided a comprehensive look into the past. The outdoor exhibits were also informative and well done. The exhibition was both educational and emotionally impactful, leaving me with a deeper understanding and sadness about the events that occurred during that time. I highly recommend a visit to the Topography of Terror for anyone interested in history and understanding the past.

It's a great reminder of the division and oppression that occurred during the Cold War. The outdoor exhibits were really well done and provide a tangible sense of the scale and impact of the wall. I highly recommend visiting this memorial for anyone interested in history and understanding the past.

East Side Gallery, a section of the Berlin Wall covered in impressive paintings by international artists, is a powerful symbol of freedom and unity. Walking around such a symbol, admiring the artwork and feeling its history is an unforgettable experience.

Small very nicely curated museum, the exact location where people said goodbye to loved ones as the building was where the DDR boarder control was. Thoroughly enjoyed. Very informative.

After an introductory Jazz Concert at the Berlin Philharmonic, I added a wonderful Vivaldi concert by the Berlin Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra in this wonderful church. Great experience.

I have to admit when first told about this "shopping" center, my reply was "I can shop at home. I want to see history!" Boy was I dumb, lol. This center opened in 1907! Went through 2 world wars and is still going strong now. Eight floors (60K sq. meters) of both high end and middle of the road items. Top two floors is international food shopping with areas to eat anything you want, from seafood to steaks, caviar to potato pancakes and gehacktes. Ground floor has all of your high end stores: Hermes, Rolex, Prada, Gucci, Chanel, Burberry, etc. One entire floor of shoes, one floor for kids, one floor for stationery, household appliances. Now, I've been to NYC and Toronto (Eaton Centre, etc.) and grew up in Cincinnati and have NEVER experienced anything like this! It was mind boggling. Got my Hermes scarf there and it was less than it would have been in Paris, where we originally hoped to get one. Every time we are in Berlin, I have to go here. There is a cafeteria on top floor that is always crowded and the huge windows offer some great views of the city. You could spend a whole day here, if you really wanted to "shop". Definitely take the time to eat here.

An awesome place for auto enthusiasts. My boyfriend was drooling over his dream motorcycles and super cars.

It's a very quiet place with few people wandering around, so nice. Some cars arrived and left while we were there so we got to see them in action.

We visited early morning and found the park deserted. We literally had the plaza and memorial mound to ourselves before a bike tour eventually arrived. Very peaceful after a hectic few days. Combine with a walk back to centre via East Side Gallery and Kreuzberg.

Alexanderplatz in Berlin is a bustling and vibrant square that offers a wide range of activities. The architecture is impressive, featuring iconic buildings such as the Fernsehturm and the World Clock. There are plenty of shops, restaurants, and cafes to explore, as well as a lively atmosphere and entertainment. The square is also a major transportation hub and a great starting point for visiting other parts of the city. It's definitely worth a visit to experience the lively atmosphere and see the iconic buildings.
