    Review of: Berliner Dom
    Beautiful building
    Main church of Berlin, is really big and Imposing with the Dome of 100 meters high. The building is Almost completely rebuild after the bombing of World War II.

    Review of: Museum St. Nicholas Church
    Nikolaikirche
    Nikolaikirche or St Nicholas church is a lovely old church situated at Nikolaikirchplatz in the Old Town. It was lovely round here. You can go in the church but as it is a museum now you have to pay to look around inside.

    Review of: Franzoesischer Dom
    The northern one
    The French Dom is the northern one of two alikes on the beautiful Gendarmenmarkt square.
    It was built in the 17c for French Huguenots - French Protestant reformists, who fled France due to religious persecution. They established their community in Berlin and added the Dome in late 18c, which today houses their museum with a viewing platform atop, while the lower level is still a Church.

    Review of: St. Mary's Church
    One of Berlin's oldest Churches
    St. Mary's situated on the plateau/park in front of the TV tower and the Rotes Rathaus city hall. Due to the square's size and the tower in the background, it looks smaller than it is.
    This is a beautuful medival church, one of the oldest in Berlin. Nice Gothic exterior with breathtaking organs inside, as well nice fresco painting - the dance of death.

    Review of: Cathedral of St. Hedwig - Domgemeinde St. Hedwig
    Beautiful Church on Bebelplatz
    You'll find this Church on the Bebelplatz square, right behind the Berlin Opera and across the Humbolt University. Although not that famous as the Berliner Dom, the St. Hedwig is the seat of Archbishop of Berlin.
    It was built in 18 century and severely damaged during WWII bombings of Berlin.
    Interesting fact is that a German priest prayed for the Jews here during the Crystal night, after which he was sent to the concentration camp and died - his remains are in the crypt.

    Review of: Zionskirche (Iglesia de Sion)
    Beautiful old church.
    Zionkirche ( Iglesia De Sion ) is a beautiful old church located in the wonderful Prenzlauer Berg district.
    A failed assassination attempt in 1861 on Kaiser Wilhelm I lead a greatful Kaiser raising funds for the building of a church which was completed several decades later.
    At one time Zionkirche was the highest structure in Berlin.
    During WW2 the church suffered heavy damage and was left to deteriorate over the years untill the 1980's when renovation work was carried out which was completed in 2002.
    Every Sunday you can climb the 104 steps to the tower for great views of the area surrounding Zionkirche.
    It's easy to locate, jump tram M1 or M12 to stop Zionkirche.
    A beautiful old church and well kept grounds and well worth checking out.

    Review of: Chapel of Reconciliation

    The Chapel of Reconciliation replaced the brick church (built in 1894), which was dynamited in 1985 because it was located on the dividing line, in the middle of No Man’s Land, between East and West Berlin. In the very interesting documentation center, we were amazed by a dramatic video showing the destruction of the old church by dynamite!
    We were moved by this small chapel, built and inaugurated on November 9, 2000, (11th anniversary of the fall of the wall). In this sleek wooden chapel, we learned that services are held regularly in memory of the victims of the Berlin Wall.

    Review of: American Church in Berlin
    Nice worship service
    I enjoyed worshiping with fellow believers in an impressive location. The acoustics are phenomenal and made their great choir sound even better. A friendly, multicultural congregation.

    Nicely restored
    During the separation this church was not effectively used as such, only after the reunification this place came into its former glory once more. Nice enough old picturesque church.

    Review of: St. Matthäus-Kirche
    Pretty church in the middle of the Kulturforum
    St. Matthew's is a reformed protestant church in the middle of the Kulturforum. In the middle of this modern arts and culture center is a church that dates back 100 years. However, as many have said the church is dedicated to the arts with several rotating modern art displays. As a reformed, protestant church this is the only ornamentation in the church. I will also say the day we visited it was very hot, like they had the heat on in the summer. Stop in for a minute will in the Kulturforum.

    Not expected to find such a place in Germany
    The muslim community there were welcoming and friendly, I was not expecting to receive such a warm welcome. It was a cold day but they had warm hearts

    Review of: Sophia Church
    Good Photo Op
    I visited the Sophia Church in September 2018. It is one of several sights to see in the Hackescher Markt area including the New Synagogue and the Kennedy Museum. It is a nice photo op.

    Review of: Sankt Bonifatius
    Landmark church in Kreuzberg District.
    Sankt Bonifatius is one of the landmark structures in the eclectic Kreuzberg district.
    A beautiful old church, its twin spires climbing towards the sky,its such an evocative looking church, makes for some great photographic opportunities.
    We were heading towards Vogt's Bierexpress and you pass this church,stopped by here to admire the church and take a few photos.
    Easy to locate,jump the Ubahn down to stop Mehringdamm, walk down Mehringdamm and cut onto Yorckstrasse were you will find this church.
    Most definitely well worth checking out if your in the area.

    German mass
    Went for mass at 19:00 but it was in German. There are two timings on Sundays.
    It is a short walk from the train station.
