Jacob Fugger may have been the richest man in the World 500 years ago. He founded Fuggerei, an public housing complex in Augsburg in 1516, an institution that still exist. You can go inside some of the houses.

Large botanical garden with lots to see. Loved the indoors area with tropical plants, very well made. However it is certainly a place which you should visit in the summer - we went in the winter and almost all plants were - understandably - not viewable.

The Puppenkiste was top of our list of attractions to visit in Augsburg, mainly because we had seen the puppets on TV on many occasions when living in Germany in the 1990s. The puppet displays were extremely good, but even better for us as visitors to the town was the short film of the Augsburg Kasper, which presented a history of the town, pointers to main attractions and drew our attention to the events taking place that weekend in the main square. Excellent!

Enjoyed being in and seeing the main square, with Perlach Tower and the lovely town hall. It's a nice city to see and take a self guided walking tour of.

The paintings were nice, but what took out breath away was the big hall. The pictures make it seem smaller but in real life it was amazing! We only entered because we did everything we planned. (The peace festival was cancelled due corona.)

Even though one of the twin spires was under scaffolding and cover, the place was still nice to see and the time of visit, early Saturday morning, and location provided a good experience.

I saw so many churches and cathedrals on my travels that I tend to skip visiting them but this one attracted my attention since I entered the city that I could not resist. First of all I couldn't get enough of views to this magnificent building at the end of the street. I took plenty of pictures. And of course the interiors are breath taking. It is definitely worth a visit.

We were just passing and popped in out of curiosity. We were delighted with the frescoes in the entry chapel , the light and airy church with curiously slope-roofed side aisle and old paintings of bible scenes

It was good to see and it lures you in from various points around the city as it is pretty tall and visible. Liked seeing it on the square and with the town hall...

Didn't know what it was at the time of viewing it during our self guided walking tour of Augsburg, but it stood out and captured the attention. Worth a look.

The church was renovated recently and the result is admirable. Very bright, very white, an island of silence just in the center of Augsburg.

It was super, especially for the price. Big room full of Mazdas with information in both German and English. The cars are interesting, don’t go if you are expecting expensive race cars (eg 787B) but there are a few rally cars, such as an RX-7 Group B. Overall, GREAT VALUE FOR MONEY, GREAT LAYOUT

Located in the so called Kuhsee, the Hochablass can be visited through a guided tour but it can be also walked in any season, passing by the river and accessing to the other side, where the Kanu-Strecke is located. Beautiful views, peaceful place and plenty of biergarten and imbiss kiosk around the lake, make this place a wonderful one in the city of Augsburg

Was in Munich for the weekend. So we decided Ausburg vs Dortmund. Final score 3-5 and Haaland scored a debut hat trick.
The stadium itself was great and transport was simple to use.
