We perform checks on reviews
Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.
*Likely to sell out: Based on Viator’s booking data and information from the provider from the past 30 days, it seems likely this experience will sell out through Viator, a Tripadvisor company.
Such an amazing experience!! We had a great time. Clean & comfortable trip from Munich to the castle. Amir dropped us off & picked us up. He was so lovely & stopped for all my picture taking! Great recommendation for a lunch, a little coffee & ice cream. Highly recommend!!
Every out-of-country trip, we pick one thing to splurge on. Of course, there are other castle tours where you can hop on a big tour bus (and we did some tour buses), but we enjoyed this door to door service, the company of a knowledgeable and friendly driver (Amen), the extremely nice ride, and the flexibility to stop along the way if we wanted to take a photo. (My husband had to have a photo of the “Welcome to Austria” sign. 😁). Our driver was so accommodating and the car was stocked with water and snacks. My husband said he would like to eat lunch in Austria and he took us to a great spot on the lake. Amen had our tickets to the castle already in hand and took us up to the entrance and explained everything we needed to do. Our group of 2 couples split the cost and agreed it was one of the best days of our 2 weeks in Germany. The service was simply awesome! Highly recommend it!
We had a great time . The private tour was very well done. We got to see the Neuschwanstein and the Hohenschwangau, and took a little break to have coffee in Füssen. Armin, our driver, spoke English very well and was very knowledgeable about the area. He brought us to a nice bakery in the morning to get sandwiches for lunch. Overall, a great experience.
This tour was a very worthwhile way to see Rothenburg and Dinkelsbuhl if you don’t have time to stay in Rothenburg for a night or two. Our guide Armin was very friendly and entertaining. Sightseeing Bavaria were also very flexible in rescheduling our tour while we were in Munich after our original tour date had to move due to bad weather. I will certainly look at booking tours with Sightseeing Bavaria again in future.
Have a spare day in Munich? Then seriously consider taking a day trip to Zugspitze; Germany's tallest peak. Elisabeth our guide ticked many boxes; friendly, bilingual, very knowledgeable, and ensured cold beers were on the bus when we came off the mountain!! Be prepared for unpredictable weather, but even if snowing or sleeting the cable car and cog railway are worth it and the scenery is so quintessentially Bavarian. ..beautiful.
Informative and enjoyable, moderate hike. We had a great day learning about beer and the area. Lunch at the monastery was a bonus! Definitely a trip worth taking!
The tour guide was excellent, I felt like I was part of the history, he explained to me the story of what happened. As an Australian I had plenty of questions. My tour guide answered the questions very simply so I understood clearly
Great rainy day (or any day) activity for younger kids. My 3 year old had a great time naming all the sea animals and watching the sharks and stingrays.
Great experience. Alun was extremely knowledgeable and personable. We learned a tremendous amount of history in an easy, understandable way. He showed us the sights in a way that brought them to life.
Our day began with a hotel pickup, by our lederhosen clad guide, Stefan. Stefan stopped at many picturesque areas so we could capture the indescribable beauty of the Bavarian alps and the multiple lakes and villages on the way to and from Innsbruck. The Swarovski crystal museum is stunning and worth the visit. Innsbruck is a gorgeous mountain town with its alpine buildings and stunning mountain views. The day was amazing and Stefan was an incredible host!
Exploring Bavaria with a private driver and guide is definitely the way to go! We were able to choose our own itinerary and spend the time we wanted at each venue. Our wonderful driver and guide, Katrin, shared information along the drive and secured any tickets that were needed. She planned a route that allowed us to see everything on our list: Alpine Coaster, Linderhof, Neuschwanstein, Hohenschwangau and a lovely visit to Fussen. We would book again. The personal attention can't be beat! Thank you Katrin!!
