An interesting experience, built around French films, but also featuring som Hollywood props. Perhaps not interpreted as best as it could be, but a good distraction, none-the-less.

As it is on top of a hill, there is a funicular that takes visitors. This church, dedicated to the Virgin Mary, is stunning!

Access by metro, or taxi. Highlights incl glasshouses, 2 rose gardens (scents!), small zoo, large lake, war memorial etc
Plenty for most of the day.
We then walked back to the centre by going over Croix Rousse hill (phew!)

Our visit to the Paul Bocuse food hall was a great experience. Such a huge selection of delicious and beautiful food product. Looked so amazing and beautiful. A sensory overload. We shopped, and tasted different offers and enjoyed a light midday meal. But also very crowded with both tourists and locals from Lyon. I think we go back tomorrow. Despite previous Dutch reviews I do recommend this foodhall. You simply have to see for yourself!

We were able to see a beautiful view of Lyon from right next to the basilica. It is worth visiting and taking some great pictures.

We visited these sites on our visit in Lyon and found them very interesting and, somehow, unique. It is practically a chain of connected culoirs linking blocks and buildings.

Amazing experience. Beautiful inside and out. High value for price (8 euro ticket). Beautiful art pieces. I have focused on the masterpieces and it was enough for me.

When driving into Lyon I noticed a very distinct looking building. I asked my wife what it was and she said it was the Museum of the Confluences. We had one day with little to do in Lyon so we visited the museum. Pandemic protocols were in play, requiring a sanitary pass and masks worn indoors. That we were intercepted before the ticket office by someone to explain what the museum was about should give you a bit of a warning that it’s going to be different. It’s a museum about humanity, how it started, how it has grown, and its impact on the planet. There are four rooms in the permanent collection, starting with the rise of man, how we got to the present day, and what our future may hold. It’s an interesting take on these age-old questions and the exhibits are pretty new. The first floor contains temporary exhibits which included a display of rare birds. Plus, you can go all the way to the roof and get an expansive view of the city and two rivers. Entry fee was reasonable and the tram stops right there. Recommended

Like the Notre Dame, it's a steep walk to get to the theatre. However, it is a worth a visit if you will be visiting the nearby La Basilique Notre Dame. There are two parts - a less restored part and a part which has been restored to serve as an outdoor theatre. It's currently free admission.

What a wonderful museum! So much to explore on the history of the Lumières, early cinema and photography, and other inventions. Nicely presented and good English language audio guide.
Also, a great restaurant just down the street from it: Le Bistro Autrement. Nice lunch and friendly service

Beautiful grand Square. Lots of character. One of the biggest, that I have seen, in Europe.
    Great views all around.
One can get all the tourist information here & lots of bus connections too.

Intere3sting ruins. I missed more information. Maybe a tour guide or an audio guide would have made the visit more meaningull.

Together with other huge murals a must in a visit to Lyon. Very interesting the life like paintings, to know who is who and the history how it has been changing during time.
