The weather was great, but we didn’t have time to stop at the Chateau D’if. Instead we cruised around , and made a stop to pick up the people that did the island tour.
If we’re ever in Marsaille again we’ll definitely book the island tour.

He was so enthusiastic about helping us kayak and was patient with us when one of us fell behind. The surroundings were gorgeous and it was so enjoyable to ride the waves even though it was a little choppy out. The crystal-clear water and hidden beaches were the highlights. - Merrill S11 contributionsThis was sooo much fun! Pepe, our guide, was extremely knowledgable about his beloved adopted area and country! This VERY personable guide was just fantastic! It was very obvious how much he loves Marseilles and the surrounding area. Though Spanish is his native tongue, his English is perfect. He speaks many languages ! The Mercedes van was very comfortable and he was a wonderful guide! We saw places that we know we want to return to and visit again! The trip through the mountain and the coastal village of Cassis is a must! We had a lovely seafood lunch gazing at a perfect seaside post card view of the harbor. We saw all the sights of Marseille with the Callanques being the highlight. We stopped for lively lunch in the park. We added the cab from the cruise port and it was easy and on time. On the way home we strolled through the streets along the waterfront, shopping and taking the free shuttle back to the cruise ship. Was a fantastic excursion. Picked us up promptly at our ship and allowed us free time after the ride before they returned us to the ship port. Charles was very knowledgeable, friendly and personable which made the tour go very smoothly. Since the other couple did not show up we had Charles all to ourselves which allowed us to make the tour more personal. Seeing the sites of the city through the eyes of a local was amazing because we got to see some areas that we would not have normally. Charles truly knows his history and we learned a lot about the city from him. Charles also sent us a list of restaurants and places to go in Marseille after the tour, very thoughtful.

- Erik F1 contributionAbsolutely incredible experience. Raphaelle did a great job guiding the group and occasionally sharing facts about the history and marine biology of the Les Calanques Park. The distance we covered in the kayak was a great workout, but not overly strenuous, and the views were great, especially of the Blue Cave and of En-Vau Calanque. By far my favorite part was the lunch break of about an hour we spent in En-Vau swimming and relaxing.
