What travellers are saying
- LAFAMILLEG11231Brooklyn, NY1,480 contributionsamazing visit, fresh water can be chilly but well worth it.
Definitely worth a day trip from wherever you are staying.Written 10 September 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Emilie GMontrouge, France1,536 contributionsWhat a beautiful site! Worth visiting even if it is not sunset :) We spend more than an hour and took the time to walk around the site. There is car park, not too expensive but not free. There are toilets near the car park. Not many food options on site. Worth stopping by!Written 27 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Marco ALondon, UK268 contributionsWorthy to spend the day there, characteristic island. Bring your umbrella, it is almost impossible to get some shed otherwise. Also, bring food and plenty of water with you. The journey to get to Lavezzi island was worth the trip to be honest. Amazing.Written 20 March 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Marco ALondon, UK268 contributionsBeautiful clear water. Perfect for families. Although was very busy in August. Impossible to rent to an umbrella and chairs.
To escape the crowd, we walked to the far right end of the beach and found a quiet and secluded spot on the rocks with easy access to the sea.Written 20 March 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Larry WLos Angeles, CA698 contributionsJust another fabulous Corsican beach with smooth sand, good food, chaise lounges. Well worth going to.Written 10 October 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Larry WLos Angeles, CA698 contributionsWe hired a boat with captain to tour this marvelous area. We went from Calvi and opted to go here and not to Les Calanques. I think this was a good choice. For one thing, they are further from Calvi, and also I hope we saw a lot of the rock formations that Calanques would’ve afforded. At any rate, this reserve was spectacular. Varied rock formations and beautiful water. There is no swimming or snorkeling allowed in the reserve, but we did that after we were out of the area. Our captain was very careful to avoid violating park regulations. It was a tremendous day, although we happened to encounter awful seas on the return journey.Written 10 October 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Jeanette E24 contributionsOur favourite anchorage in Corsica. A beautiful. I’ve with clear water and mostly white sandy bottom. Sadly the coral is mostly dead although there are still small fish in the bay.Written 29 July 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- wrenbobcastleton, ny14 contributionsAfter reading two 2019 reviews reporting dangerous bacteria infested in these beautiful pools. I was very disappointed. I really wanted to go. So instead of just taking their words I decided to research this a little more. I went to the tourist bureau. They said not now but yes 5 years ago there was a problem. But it is controlled and carefully tested now. They were very nice and very reassuring. But it was a tourist bureau! I went online and found what they said is true. 5 years ago bilharziosis, an infection with the parasite Schistosoma was a problem. Not fatal when treated and a simple blood test can diagnose this infection. The biggest problem is PEEING IN THE WATER! They do not ask you not to they tell you not too. There are now public toilets. Not close, but in the parking lots. By the way when this bacteria was found out to be in the river SWIMMING WAS BANNED BY THE GOVERNMENT! It is gorgeous! It is like swimming in silk . Being in the water or lying on the smooth rocks looking up at the pine forests is breathtaking. Not even too far from the most beautiful beaches which is another fantastic experience. There is a snack bar and a restaurant. Also an adventure park which looks like it is more for kids than adults. I am not allowed to put web sites on but check out the internet it has many reassuring articles. In fact The Cavu river is the best monitored river in CorsicaWritten 16 September 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- JaguarUnited Kingdom7 contributionsDuring our long walk, we discovered this beautiful beach, we were able to enjoy the sun and in summer there must be many tourists but in March we were the only ones.Written 1 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- lovemedoSutton, UK33 contributionsIt’s to do, it’s a corner of Corsica that offers a multitude of hiking trails with small points like the one so charmingWritten 26 September 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Sabrina7 contributionsWe find Santa Guilia better than Palombaggio Beach.
The water is calm, clear and shallow for quite a long distance. Perfect for children.Written 2 October 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - JaguarUnited Kingdom7 contributionsMagnificent path between the sea and the land, very beautiful views of the ocean, provide good shoes and waterWritten 1 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Citizen_StuEindhoven, The Netherlands486 contributionsBeautiful hike along the coast, level of difficulty - easy.
Make sure you choose a day when it’s not incredibly hot as many parts of the hike are not in the shade. Take PLENTY of drinking water with you, there are no water sources along the way. 1 liter per person may seem enough but, trust me, it’s not when hiking on a hot day.
You can make the hike as long as you want and there are many opportunities to stop along the way to enjoy a quick swim.Written 10 September 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - VadimMurmansk, Russia22,692 contributionsMarina Porto Ota is an ideal starting point for sea excursions to the Scandola Nature Reserve and the Gulf of Girolata. One "but". If the weather permits, of course... In our case, despite the beginning of July, a strong sea wave excluded the sea route and I had to take a scooter and get on the ground. Therefore, I saw Marina Porto only in the evening at sunset. Picturesque place, Sea, rocks, Genoese tower... Exactly why you need to go to Corsica...Written 25 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
